Author has written 2 stories for X-Men: The Movie. Stares into the middle distance* I watched First Class. Continues staring* Alex Summers is. . . what, seventeen? . . . in the 1960s, while his older brother Scott is a teen in a movie that appears to happen in the 80s. The White Queen of the Hellfire Club is a young woman (early twenties?) in the 60s while a teenaged Emma with less control and no apparant telepathy is held hostage in the med labs in the 80s. Storm, Storm is. . . seven, maybe? . . . in the 60s. This I can work with. I can work with Mystique growing up with Charles. I can work with her ultimately being on the same team as Azreal. In the 80s, Charles is bald, but standing on his own two feet. In the 60s, Charles has hair and a wheelchair. whimpers* I. . . have. . . to . . . fix this! A couple of things about language: I am a Canadian by birth and childhood, which means that I put 'u's in words that Americans don't, and spellcheck doesn't always catch it. I spent some formulative years in the province of Quebec, and my verbal command of French comes from the survival slang I picked up in those years. I cannot spell - in any of the languages I speak. Spellcheck is dear friend, and as such, we have bitter, bitter arguements. A last note? I live in Mississippi - have for more'n a decade now. This means that when I write a southern drawl, I attempt to incorperate much of the language I interact with on a daily basis. Spelling, phraseology, and sometimes terminology will all be influenced by the various places I have lived. You try to learn to spell the word 'blue' in English when attending a French-immersion school. That kinda thing can mess you up for life man, I mean it. |
