Whenever I write, I try to go for emotionally wrenching, uncharacteristically dark, and slightly romantic, but for some reason the balance always seems to flip itself on me, i.e. my stories turn out gooey with lotsa smooching, dramatic enough to keep one interested, and slightly cynical. Oh well. Perhaps it's all for the better in the end.
