(7/8/2014) - FOR THOSE OF YOU PAYING ATTENTION...

...I offer you an animated .gif of Elijah Wood typing and crying, then crying and typing, that manages to give a surprisingly accurate, HolyshitIknowjusthowyoufeelportrayal of how every single author, writer, and student with an essay due, has felt at one time or another - whether from deadlines, due dates, etc., we've ALL felt like this. This is especially poignant if you've ever had or currently have, Writer's Block.

ANYHOW, what I'm saying is that Elijah's endless and looping typing torment most accurately sums up how I've felt (possibly looked) every time I've sat down at the computer to write something - anything - in the last couple of years. It's...it's almost beyond words. The inability to even approach the idea of shaping something of substance, something with a clearly defined plot; even something that contains a turn of phrase that's been freshly arranged and not just the twisting around of old words, has been a struggle. And the fact that words are difficult, where before they flowed (overflowed) without any effort, has left me feeling so IMPOTENT that the sight of a blank word doc is almost distressing.

And yet, I look at my writing . I read, I edit stories I've posted and I edit stories and unfinished pieces of writing, because some part of me wants to write. I create stories - even if I have difficulty getting them down on paper, anymore, I am constantly writing them in my head. I *will* get my creativity back and someday, the words will once more flow like water. Until then, I'm chipping away at this Writer's Block, day-by-day, and I can hear the current on the other side. :)

Also, I have Four pieces of CHUCK/CASEY-inspired writing that I started. They're all just tidbits, only the beginnings of plot or scenes or descriptions that came to me in brief, creative rushes, but, that said: if anyone reads this and might like to see any of these bits posted, or would like to read the little of what I have, please MESSAGE ME and let me know Even if nobody responds, I may just throw it up on my profile in the next couple of days or so, just to have them up. ;)

IN CLOSING - I'm still around, I'm just, well, *points to Elijah Wood .gif at the top of the page*. Pretty much sums it up.

UPDATE 5/19/2009: If anybody is interested and does not want to flame me for it, I wrote a true NC-17 NON-CON fic on a prompt in the Supernatural Kink Meme It involves Castiel being "reconditioned" in Heaven by four archangels.
