WAY, way back in the day (hopefully not before some of you were born) I wrote a couple stories that were mildly successful. I loved it. Then I stopped.

Recently, I began writing again. I created a different pen name, as I am inherently different ten years later, but I was plagued by curiosity. What ever happened to my original works? So, I logged on one day (the fact if could dredge up the password was an obvious SIGN) and checked the old (well, younger) me out.

Needless to say, a lot has changed.

So after a few very (VERY) uncomfortable, cringe-worthy, often embarrassing-but-revealing and occasionally sweet hours getting re acquainted, I was all kinds of ready to bury this profile and it's silly stories for good. I'm not saying I was so horrified I wanted to torch the place- I was going to be respectful. Buy it a nice coffin, pick out a sunny plot where it would be next to grandma, hold a brief but pleasant service... but just as I was writing the heartfelt eulogy, I felt a curious prickling at the back of my neck. The little hairs on my arms began to rise. I imagined I saw something lighter than air pass just outside my peripheral, but as soon as I turned there was nothing there but dust settling. What could this presence be? It was the ghost of my old stories!

You can rewrite us!

(Although, be fair, it could have been If you write them, they will come. It's up for interpretation.)

So here I am. Why rewrite? Maybe just to improve the over all quality of writing on this site. Maybe to help myself grow as a writer by challenging myself to create something better while retaining the original naïve sweet story. Maybe to kill time better spent doing adult things like paying bills so my internet won't shut off. Mayb-

There are some stories I am leaving as they are because I either can't even begin to decide where to start on improving them and some because they are characters and shows I no longer have any interest in.

Hope and Four Years will NOT be rewritten.

Enter the Hero is in the process- I see potential. I haven't watched the show in over ten years, but I like the EDDY character's way of thinking. He was a sneak peak at the future me...

Mountains Of Memory was by far my most popular, most reviewed and most cherished piece. It is also way way fucked up, probably beyond repair. The original ten chapters were over 50,000 words and saved only on my POS iBook and a I-shit-you-not FLOPPY DISK. The iBook is long gone, and so I assume is the disk, assuming I could even find a computer with a floppy disk drive that doesn't turn on with a hand crank. All that remains is one and a half chapters (the second cuts out mid sentence) and I only have a sketchy idea what the original plot was. I loved that piece, I would love to see it restored, but it may be a lost cause. (I was astonished that it had been viewed a whopping 6 times this month though- six more than I could have imagined).

No Day has been rewritten and reposted. Whether anyone will notice or care- only time will tell. It's pure fluff but I hope at least more literary fluff now.

Unexpected was an interesting idea inspired by Game, Set, Match (long disappeared from the site, but in my opinion the best piece of Harry/Draco slash ever written). But I hate revisiting old Harry FF now that the books are done. It was written between what? Fourth and Fifth maybe? Probably time to just let it go to pasture. Probably. :)
