I'm a Slayers junkie who wants more Lina/Gourry romance than an action/adventure series like Slayers provides.

Seriously, I started writing fanfiction to see if I actually could write something decent. I've been having a lot of fun, and I'm very grateful to everyone who's taken time to review my stories and/or dropped me a line since I dipped my toes into fanficdom!

In real life, I'm a professional historian and an amateur web-coder. My hobbies include writing, crochet, MMORPGs, ballroom dance, and generally annoying baby-boomers who try to parent me.

Update 3/27/12: I know updates to Nightmares have been very slow, and I apologize. (I also know that most of chapter 3 was very strange, even though no one has actually said anything to me about it.) Part of the slowness has come from various real-life issues, ranging from picking up extra work commitments to my beta-reader needing to take an extended leave for his own personal reasons. Part of it comes from the fact that I'm exploring several ideas that go in a couple of different directions, and I need to give them time to sort themselves out in my mind. And the last part is the characters themselves! Zel, for example, kept going out of control in chapter 3, and I kept trying to keep him in control. After arguing about it for a couple months, I finally gave in and let him go out of control. And then there's Lina. She's holding things close to her chest, barely letting me see what's going on inside her head. I still only have the vaguest idea about what's causing her nightmares and what she's seeing. She gives me these tiny glimpses every once and a while, and then I can continue writing. I'm still having fun writing and I'm enjoying how this story is turning out so far, so I have every intention of completing it (regardless of how long it takes me). For those who are interested, Nightmares has a couple of prequels I didn't post here for various reasons; they're available on my site.

Update 5/12/08: If you were interested, "Promise" will remain as a one-chapter story. I've picked it up at least half a dozen times since finishing Flam Gush, but the version of the characters I created in that story no longer speak to me. I do have a couple of other ideas that are rolling about though, so I may have something new in the not-too-distant future!

Update 6/2/05: It has come to my attention that someone has been plagiarizing my works. I guess I should formally state that Lina, Gourry, Zel, and Amelia and the rest are not mine, they are copyrighted by others. Everything else is copyrighted by me, and this includes (especially) my prose, any original characters, and story concepts. Thanks to the people who pointed out the plagiarism to me!
