![]() Author has written 1 story for Alice in Wonderland. There has to be a sea of humanity that's said it, but allow me to just add my voice to the chorus: I should have started writing in earnest earlier. I was just too self-conscious to remember that writing, reading, and reviewing among other writers isn't just a challenge - it's so damn much fun! Just finished re-reading Lewis Carroll's Alice books, and re-reading a story I'd started writing on it. Hence my one and only work in progress at the moment. I'm moving around a lot here in Argentina, and trying to keep the workload of articles coming in to support my traveling lifestyle. It takes me a while to hammer out chapters, but they'll keep coming. I don't think the story will stop jumping into my dreams until I do! Huge fan of: (big breath) Wrinkle in Time, Lord of the Rings, His Dark Materials, Harry Potter, Fruits Basket, anything put to animation by Miyazaki, the Dark Jewels series, The Earth's Children series, Ender's Game, The Song Master, Immortal Rain, I Robot, the Twilight Saga (yes, I got reeled in, too. But don't even press the buttons to rip the movie, it's just so bad), random comic set called Kick Ass that I just found out has made it to theaters as a movie, Samurai X, The Graveyard Book, American Gods (thank you, Neil Gaiman, for filling up my imagination and my sparse travel library), and many more, that I'll add as I go along. A little artwork for Hats and Ribbons is up on deviant art! Link: http:///art/Mad-Hatter-113550741 I've got a second work, an inking of Hatter, Alice and the divan/table and one of the Kannadi mirrors. I hope to have at least the bare bones of this work up in a few weeks, once I've settled again. Living in Mendoza, Argentina, now. For those who've never fled their home country and struggled with a foreign language with the help of friendly fellow-expats and brilliant locals, I highly recommend it. I wouldn't have been able to write this story if I'd stayed in the US. Mendoza also happens to have the added benefit of being the wine-producing capital of Argentina. This may be one of the reasons it takes me so long to update... |
