Hello All (or anyone who happens to find my profile and stories),

Though I write plenty of my own poetry and fiction, this is my first attempt at FanFic. I'm not usually so obsessed with another writer's characters, but I really enjoy the world (and its inhabitants) that Ms. Harris has created in her Sookie Stackhouse stories.

About "Regret": I suppose I should warn that it's a little melancholy. I wrote it because I wanted to experiment with what I thought Sookie's emotions might be should she lose the Big Badass Viking warrior before she had a chance to resolve her issues with him. I also thought it was a good opportunity to use a different style than that to which I am accustomed, and (last but not least) to give Pam a little humanity (for lack of a better term).

About "Even Vampires Get the Blues": Posted Chapter 8. For history buffs out there: I realize the mark of the Legion was not instituted until after the reign of Marcus Aurelius, and would have been derogatory to a Roman soldier during the height of the grandeur of the Roman military. However, I like the idea of a legion brand (not SPQR). Sorry to offend any history buffs :).

May 10, 2010: So, as you might have noticed, I've actually had a bit of downtime. It has been a chill two weeks, and I've actually written a bit on my Decisions story. The next chapter is out for Beta review, and I hope to have that posted in a few days. I'm diligently working on the next few chapters while I'm not busy & my muse is cooperating. I'd like to have another three chapters posted by next week. It's a lofty goal, and one or two may get submitted without Beta review. However, I feel the need to finish this story before the summer so it doesn't get lost in the hecticness. Thank you all for reading and commenting even though I've been so inconsistent about updating. I appreciate you!

I'm also trying to make time to read the stories of others . . . so, if you write & are a commenter, I'm better able to know who you are so I can read and comment on your story!

May 12, 2010: Update: Chapters 16 & 17 of Decisions are out to my extremely patient and flexible Beta, HopeStreet. She's a busy gal, and these chappies probably need a bit of work since I've been out of the game for so long. I just wanted to let y'all know the chappies are on the way. As always, thanks for your patience and thanks to those who have stuck by this story, continuing to read & comment. That is so motivating, and makes me want to finish! I'm working on Chapter 18 as I type this, but my week is about to get extremely busy so I'm not sure when I'll be able to finish it. Just know that I'm working on it & it's on the way!
