HoneyPot- I'm currently not updating this story. It was originally meant to be a one-shot but I'm debating whether or not I will leave it as it is or make it a multi-chapter story.

Hello y'all! My named is Allie and I've been writing fanfiction since late November of 2008. My pen name is quite strange in case you didn't realize (a result from my past obsession with the Uglies saga) but alas, I am much to lazy to change it. My likes include writing, soccer, rainy days, and ridiculously long walks on the beach XD

Hmmm I'm not exactly sure how to describe myself, I'm a total mutt and can trace back my relatives to over seven different countries... I'm average height but I have baby hands (yeah seriously, I think my ten year old brother has bigger hands than me 0.0). I also have the weirdest hair that at first glance appears light brown but if you look closer it has strands of blond, red, and black XD I've been told by way too many people that my eyes are beautiful in a scary way cause I have central heterochromia (my eyes are light blue in the center and they get darker as they reach the edges of my iris) lol the only good thing that has come from that is my amazing ability to win staring contests ;)

I was reading a bunch of fanfiction the other day and I had a sudden realization... there are waaayyy too many Mary-Sue's in the fandoms. Some of you are probably thinking "Shallie, what's a Mary-Sue?" A Mary-Sue is a fictional character with overly idealized and hackneyed mannerisms, lacking noteworthy flaws, and primarily functioning as wish-fulfillment fantasies for their authors or readers. In other words, Mary-Sues kill fanfictions and most readers will not enjoy your story if it contains a Mary-Sue.

So I went on a Internet search quest to find a solution to this problem. During my research I found a website with a Mary-Sue quiz. Once you develop an original character (oc) I suggest taking the quiz to see if your character is a Mary-Sue. Please Note:The test is not always accurate and if you want a second opinion, ask a friend who will give you a truthful answer.
