Just in case anyone gets frustrated with my rather erratic pace of updates, here's a little peak into my writing process.

My stories usually stem from random bits of dialogue or a fragment of a scene inspired by music. I'll think of something clever or funny or sad and I'll write it down and then try to form a story around it.

I rarely have an idea of where the plot is going. I may have a few key points I want to get in but most of the time I make it up as I go along.

Sometimes that lack of structure fails me because when I can't figure out how to get from plot point A to plot point B the story stalls.

Sorry about that.

So a message to those whose stories I've reviewed and thought, 'Hey, who is this person?' and then gone to my profile to see it blank and without any stories of my own and then think, 'Hey, what gives?' here is my explanation:

Several months ago my hard-drive died. Nothing could be retrieved and I had no back up. Way to go intelligence. All of my writing, going back years was gone, including the over 300 page (single spaced) story a friend and I had been working on (sorry about the bragging but I really miss that one). Needless to say, I was devastated. I deeply regretted not posting any of my work due to technical ignorance and continual procrastination. After the mourning period I got a new hard-drive and moved on to new projects.

And then my computer burst into flames. Seriously. I'm not kidding. There was actual fire. Coming out of the computer.

I now have the use of my mother's old laptop and am plugging away. Please, God, let this one be strong.
