Author has written 8 stories for My Little Pony. Profile... profile... that's what people see when they click on my name isn't it? So assuming they want to learn more about me, I should put personal information up here... I'm an author. I'm lazy, and excel at procrastinating. I enjoy writing, reading and gaming. I am currently employed as a professional hobo (read: student), and spend most of my time either in said institution or in an asylum (okay, that last bit's not true, but some days it feels like it is). Yeah, I got nothing else, so here's some random facts. Favorite Movie: You know, I don't really know. I like a lot of movies, but there's not really one that I'd be willing to watch repeatedly. Favorite TV Show: Easy. Friendship is Magic. Ponies, man. And Doctor Who. Gotta love the Who. Also, as a rather big geek, I feel obligated to at least mention Firefly. Favorite Author/Book Series: Okay, this is gonna be a long one. A tie between -Jim Butcher's The Dresden Files -Terry Pratchett's Discworld series -Simon R. Green's Nightside series -Naomi Novik's Temeraire series -Patrick Rothfuss's The Kingkiller Chronicles But then you also have Neil Gaimen, Sandy Mitchell and so many others that I think I'm going to have to cut off the list right here. Oh, and American Gods by Gaimen gets special mention as well Favorite Webcomic: Probably Exterminatus Now. I know, Sonic the Hedgehog meets Warhammer 40k doesn't sound all that good, but it is. Twokinds also goes here. And of course, you have to at least mention XKCD if you're talking about webcomics. Favorite Video Game: I could mention Metroid or Legend of Zelda or Armored Core or Panzer Dragoon: Orta or Pokemon, but this is the one category in which I have a clear winner. Mass Effect. Period. If my X-box wasn't dead at the moment I'd be playing that instead of writing, but it is, so here I am. Favorite Graphic Novel: This really isn't a fair category seeing as I've only read two graphic novels in my life, but this goes to Neil Gaimen's Sandman series. Watchmen gets runner up. Favorite Band: I don't really like artists as I do songs, but the two artists I consistently listen to are 30 Seconds to Mars and Eurobeat Brony, a guy who does some pretty awesome techno remixs of MLP:FiM songs. Favorite Musical: Either Avenue Q, Spamalot, Repo: The Genetic Opera or Doctor Horrible's Sing Along Blog. I know, the last two aren't really musicals in the strictest sense, but they have singing and I have the soundtrack for them. That makes 'em musicals in my book. Yeah, that's all I got. I could do some famous quotes or something, but I don't feel like putting together that big of a list. So, here's a quick bio, which should probably be with the rest up at the top of the page. Oh well. Like I said, I'm a lazy procrastinator and, more importantly, a cynic. I've been told by various friends that I'm sadistic, an asshole, a sarcastic asshole, that the universe regrets me and many, many more like that. And that's from my friends mind you. I love feedback on my work, especially positive and constructive criticism. If you don't like my work then you can go bugger yourself. I am a very visual oriented author, so I usually base my ideas of pictures I've found, or at least find a good picture that goes with the story. If you care to see the pictures that go along with my fics, you can find them here. If you care, my favorite ponies are Rarity and Twilight. (No, not that Twilight. I'm talking about Twilight Sparkle, not the Twilight that sparkles. That Twilight can go take a long walk off a short cliff.) And in answer to that age old question, happiness is the soft glow of a word processor and a warm cup of coffee. Serious Business: Just updated Memory, after I finally figured out what everyone meant when they said I needed to work on my transitions. Apparently fanfiction.net edits out the row of symbols I normally use as scene breaks. I'll go through and fix this in the rest of my pieces too. Sorry I haven't been updating in a while, but real life has come up. Everything should be settling down soon and I have plenty of ideas waiting in the wings. Plus Season 2 is on the way with more ponies and more inspiration! |
