It is with deep sadness that I tell you that our dear, sweet Kai (aka Fojioa2) passed away late December 30, 2003. It was unexpected and caused by complications from emergency surgery for a perforated ulcer. He did not suffer, but we now suffer without his sweet, gentle presence, his devoted and undying friendship, and the delight of writing.

We will leave his account up, including his bio below and all his stories and reviews, both here and on other sites where he is archived. Needless to say, there will be no further updates.

We have lost a close and dear friend, please hold Kai and all of us in your hearts and in your prayers. Rest in peace, my sweet Kai.

Ten, Ebs, and the Babyverse Krewe

There's nothing important about me. One salient fact applies, I think--a quote from David Bowie which defines my situation: "I'm just a mess without my / Little China Girl."

I am proud and happy to say that I am a founding member of the Babyverse Crew. We're a loose-knit collection of writers and friends who are gathered into the loving embrace of Ebony Silvers, who created an offshoot of Spikecentric stories called The Babyverse. This is a time and place where Spike has found a wife (Baby), has become Master of New Orleans, and is living an unlife of goodness and redemption with his vampiric children, a group known as Spike's Pride. Together with Angel and Cordy (married and raising Connor, who was never kidnapped) and Wesley and Drusilla (soulmates who are also married and very much in love with each other every hour of every day), he and Baby make up The Scourge, the baddest crew of demon-killers in the Babyverse. Count on plenty of angst, though, because Ebony likes to drag her readers through a catharsis.
