Not Too Late

Inspiration largely came from Daisakusen Proposal, a great j-drama. I wanted to write about 2 childhood friends who loved each other but because of their own faults (obliviousness to their feelings or insecurity), and not because of tragic accidents or feuding parents, resigned to being with other people instead. If you've seen the drama, you'd have noticed that my story is very similar except the female and male's roles were switched. xD I loved the message from the drama about missed chances, and so really emphasized that in this fic.

Other influences came from japanese movies I saw recently: Su-ki-da, Rainbow Song. They're also about people who were just afraid to confess their feelings and wanted to let fate take care of everything. The films are each great in their own way, you should check them out.

I'm glad people liked this story and reviewed, it's certainly one of the more dramatic (sappy) writings I've done. Thank you, readers!

Misery Loves Company

Whoa, first movie fanfic I've ever written. It's pretty weird for me. Also decided to use first-person present-tense, even though I know a lot of people can't stand that. I usually hate writing in first-person, but I guess writing a lot of personal essays for college apps kind of carried over into fanfiction writing. Inception was so awesome, though. I loved it. I'm also pleased to see from the number of Ariadne x Arthur fanfics on this site that I wasn't the ONLY one who was squealing in my seat when he was all like, "Oh well, it was worth a shot" or something along those lines. But it seemed very obvious to me that Ariadne is obsessed with Cobbs. Not obsessed, but still... It's heavily implied IMO. I used to hate writing about love triangles too. I'm evolving a lot of my tastes, aren't I?
