![]() Author has written 5 stories for Gemma Doyle Trilogy, and Phantom of the Opera. REVIEWS MAKE ME SMILE!! Hi everybody! I took a leave of absence from fanfiction, but I'm back again, this time writing a story for Phantom of the Opera called Love Everlasting. A little about myself: I go by Lil, despite the fact that it has nothing to do with my real name. I'm American, and I adore English literature, England, and English people. Which is probably why I like A Great and Terrible Beauty so much. Yes, I know that Libba herself isn't English, which is a total downer, but I do enjoy the English humor that is spattered throughout the novels. My favorite character from AGATB is definitely Felicity. She's amazing; so intricate. Everyone can relate to a part of her. My obsession with her is flat-out weird, considering the fact that she isn't real. However, this doesn't stop me from thinking incessantly about her and her family. Not that I like her family, mind you, they're a bunch of pervs. But they're related to Felicity, so I have to think about them. If you haven't run away from your computer by now, then I commend you. Seriously. Okay, I kind of swayed from talking about myself, so I'll try again. I'm a college student at a ridiculously challenging university and fanfics alleviate a great deal of stress from my week. Virtually all of my writing is done on weekends since I'm up to my eyeballs with homework from classes that will not have anything to do with my career, but I take them anyway. Don't ask why. I've always loved to write but have never wanted to be a writer. Instead, I'd opt for psychology, or in a perfect world, singing. I'm a classically trained soprano and it's kind of my obsession. I've wanted to sing Christine's part in "Phantom" since I was nine, and have never given up that dream. I do some things for the local opera... well, if I said the name you'd know where I lived and that's a no-no, but it's very famous and I'm honored to be a part of any production they put on. I do have a boyfriend who is pre-med at the same school and thinks my obsession with fanfiction is extremely weird but also hysterical. I love him for supporting me! So, I think that's about it for me. Actually, there's more, but that's all anyone needs/wants to hear. Here's my favorite: AGATB PAIRINGS: Gemma/Kartik: C'mon. Who doesn't love them? Pippa/Felicity: Not that I found their relationship to be particularly healthy. It was a little possessive to say the least. But if it's done right, it can be very interesting. Felicity/Simon: Not for good, because I don't think they were particularly suited to each other. But I like those stories that describe "what happened over Christmas break..." or "what the hell went on with those two anyways..." Onto Phantom. Ever since I could remember, I've loved the music. I've seen the show twice, but I never found myself so interested in it until I saw the 2004 movie. Say what you will. The chemistry between Christine and Erik was evident, and it inspired me to write a story about just that. I'm an E/C Shipper from way back, but I don't hate Raoul. So you won't find an evil Raoul or Raoul-bashing in any of my phics. The story of The Phantom of the Opera is just so moving and timeless that it leaves me at a loss for words. And I'm looking forward to the sequel! POTO PAIRINGS: Erik/Christine: That is it. I can't tolerate anyone else. I'm sorry. Especially Erik and Raoul. Really? I'm not opposed to non-cannon pairings, but honestly, people? A note about slash: I'm entirely for gay marriage, and I have several gay friends, but you won't find slash in my writing. As someone who is straight, I'm just not skilled enough as an author to put myself in their shoes. I have a hard enough time writing about Erik and Christine. Let's take this one step at a time. Now that you know a little bit more about me, I hope you enjoy my writing! Message me with any questions or comments, or if you just want to chat! Oh, and free hugs for those who review! |
