Author has written 6 stories for Rurouni Kenshin, and Mediator. SPECIAL NOTICES I am on hiatus. STILL. May '07 - How do you people still find my crappy stories after all these years? I'm still very fond of the characters from Beyond the Door and Castle on the Lake so they'll be made into original stories which will probably never see the light of day. That's mostly what I've been doing in terms of writing these days. Fanfiction seems so confining when you finally create something completely your own. Anyway, good luck to you all and maybe I'll pop back in once in awhile to update something (namely Beyond the Door, because Virgil is neat). Listed loosely by priority: Beyond the Door (Ch.6 drafting): There's a price for breaking the rules, so Death has come to claim it. Taking a step beyond the doors, Jesse journeys into the unknown to find his querida. With unsettling denizens and impossible locations, his only guide is a quirky young musician who calls himself Virgil. (being scrapped to be made into an original story, but still continuing) Querida Mía (Ch.9 drafting): Based off of the snippit found on the official website, Post Haunted. boyfriend is imaginary and Brad is acting so weird around her? Not to mention those stolen glances Jesse’s been giving her. But what worries Suze most of all is the fact that Paul Slater has been quiet this entire time, even about their little promise up in shadowland. The truth is he’s just planning a little lesson about the gifts of a shifter, starting with one day in 1850. In the battle of the shifters, Jesse’s would-be murder is at stake. But Susannah has to decide what’s more important: Jesse’s love or his life? (Semi-writer's block. Twilight is out so it isn't so much of a priorty anymore. Will still finish. Eventually.) To the RK World and Back: Chaos reigns on the Kamiya Dojo as a pack of modern-day teenagers attempt to pair up the rurouni and his landlady. Will the Kenshin-gumi survive the Kori-gumi? This fic is undergoing a heavy rewrite. Not so much because it's popular (because it's not) but because my friends in it really want me to finish it. And they can bug me offline as well. Admittedly, I'm rather fond of it, but not terribly proud of it for obvious reasons. Role Reversal 2, Prophet (early stages): Dubbed “the Jays,” Jesse is voted to help prepare the Senior Festival with the class presidents Justin and Josh. Summer break is coming up and that means the kids of Birchwood Academy are preparing for parties and the Senior Festival. But one girl isn’t celebrating. Jesse must comfort both Jennifer Peterson – much to Susannah’s disapproval – and the ghost of her mother and all while trying to keep the rest of the school in the dark about his mediating abilities. But it appears someone else already knows of Jesse’s talent… and also of his resident ghost. Castle on the Lake (drafting): During a summer visit to Aunt Megan, an owl drops by with unexpected letters for Morgan and Diana. After a few misunderstandings and clarifications, Howl and Dumbledore come to an agreement. The children will attend Hogwarts if Sophie and Howl keep watch over a certain pre-destined boy. Can Ingary provide a safe house for Harry when war looms on the horizon? The challenge set forth on a message board: Take normally horrible premises and turn it into something readable. Materials used in this case: Mary-Sue, Canon offspring, and worldly crossover. (Original characters being pulled to form new original story) A Lesson in Life (Drafting): Father Dominic’s story. His ‘perfect’ family sends him to an all boy’s boarding school when they hit troubled times. So it was a shock for him to discover that it was there that he’d meet such a lovely girl. A girl who also happened to be dead. Role Reversal (Finished): Jesse de Silva moves out to New York after his father remarries to a woman with three daughters. Hardly able to complain since his father is so happy, he still misses the freshness of California. Taking care of his new younger stepsisters in his spare time, Jesse settles at his new high school even if he’s only going to be there for a semester. But there’s something else for Jesse to keep an eye out for. Or someone that is. Susannah Simon, the ghost of a fiery young woman clad in Victorian dress, occupies Jesse’s new apartment. She’s welcome company to Jesse and attractive as well, but that’s besides the point… As a mediator, Jesse has learned as much as he could from Father Dominic back at Carmel but nothing could prepare him for what was to come. Be With You (Finished): After being exorcised by Jack, Jesse has a lot to think about. Reflecting on past incidents with Susannah, Jesse wonders if she really wanted him gone. (Face it; it’s boring up in shadowland if you’re not going through any of the doors) Inspired by Enrique Inglesia’s song of the same name. |
