Better to let others engage in such gossip. For the pictures that they paint of this unholy beast are far more vivid in detail than any fictions I would dare conjure.

I am a writer by compulsion, obsessed with my addictions. My anger stimulates, my sadness envelopes, my joy is euphoric, the full spectrum completes me. I am a skeptical believer whose only fear is that this world is all that there is.

So I write. I write to live, I write to breathe, I write to engage with characters, both created and borrowed, in worlds that never existed. Furthermore, I write because for I find that I covet the company of these fictions far more than the realities that we are forced to live. With fervid desperation I long for a world where individuals possess such strengths, such passions—both pure and absolute—as the characters we create.
