Author has written 12 stories for Hellsing. Name. . . Reese is just fine. Age. . . 31, Capricorn- Snake (if you are into Asian Astrology.) Occupation. . . Artist, teacher, illustrator and fighting the forces of evil in the world. I hold a few degrees, including a Masters, in theatre , art, art history and I am a certified N.J. Art teacher for all ages. (hence why so much art and art history comes into play with my stories-don't worry, there will be notes.) I love teaching comics and graphic novel design in addition to life drawing- I'm a lecturer at many Anime/manga conventions Also a "cat socializer" at my local animal shelter- yeah kitties! Artistic Mediums. . .Pen, ink, watercolor, pastel, Copic markers and pencils. . .I'm an okay painter, too. I also make costumes, wigs, and do theatrical/ horror make up with Raven Designs. Status. . . Happily engaged to a wonderful partner- open to platonic friendships and artist/author colabs. Stories and Genres. . .I prefer gothic, horror, history, and supernatural, but can work with pretty much anything that strikes my fancy. (Humor is more of something I like to sprinkle in my work, not drown into.) I prefer completed, multi-part stories, but there will be one-shots. I try to connect with the characters and get inside their heads and hearts- I love to delve into duel sides of nature, but stay true to their characterization-through my own eyes, of course. Bit of a romantic, but try to make situations based on respect, friendship, and trust, rather than mush. There will be some "Lemonade"- sweet, sensual, sexy stuff, but sorry, I don't do smut, though my inner demons keep begging me too... Favorite Books. . .Dante "The Divine Comedy" Tom Robbins, "Even Cowgirls Get the Blues" , Plays by Shakespeare- especially "Much Ado About Nothing" Anything in the "Hitchhiker's Guide" Series, Anne Rice's Vampire Mythos, Lot's of Asian and Classical Mythology. Favorite Comics/manga... "Dawn" series by Joe Linser, "Sandman", "Bone", "Sky Doll", "Hellboy", "The Crow", "The Courageous Princess" and "Neptopia" by Rod Esponesa, "Lenore" and any and all works by Roman Dirge, "Gloom Cookie", "Nightmares and Fairytales", anything by Adam Warren, or Lea Hernandez, "Fruits Basket", "Hellsing", "Full Metal Alchemist" any work/comics/ illustrations by Amano Pairings...While I'm open to creating lots of back stories on character's love lives, I insist on a few pairs that sort of "Have-to-be" in my universes: Ed and Winry (childhood sweethearts, the whole friendship blossoming into love thing.) Alucard and Integra (a love of equals and full-filling the duty of happiness to one's self) Seras and Walter(Compassionate passion and hey, the guy needs a break . . . :) Read, comment, and enjoy- feel free to drop me lines, comments, ideas and hellos. . . |
