![]() Author has written 16 stories for Pokémon, Legend of Zelda, Fire Emblem, Sweeney Todd, and Final Fantasy VII. 4/6/2015 Well, I know it's been years since I promised anything, and unfortunately, I don't have much to offer D: But if anyone happens to come to this pretty much dead page and wants to read more of my writing, I'm planning to start posting a few short stories and oneshots over on my Fictionpress account. My pen name there is Vharu. Don't have much up there now, but I've got a few things I'm working on and planning to post over the next couple of weeks. Pop over if you're interested! AVAVA Don't feel obligated to read all of Epona's blatherings, as she doesn't have many important things to say. Epona is a little nerd who has many things she enjoys to do. One of her favorite pastimes is playing video games. She absolutely adores The Legend of Zelda and Fire Emblem, but also enjoys Pikmin, Animal Crossing, Harvest Moon, Pokémon (only the games, not the shows), Mario and of course, Super Smash Bros.. Chances are, she probably drew the picture you see at the left, as she is also rather fond of drawing not only her favorite Zelda, Fire Emblem and Metal Gear Solid characters, but she like drawing lots of other things, too. Currently, she has a picture she drew of Metal Gear RAY on display. She does not have a deviantart, but she doesn't think she needs one. Epona also likes to play the piano when she can, and though she doesn't know many songs, most of what she does know are from The Legend of Zelda, including Windmill Hut, Linebeck's and Oshus' theme and the Dark World. Epona's favorite color is green, and she sometimes likes characters only because they have green somewhere on them, like Abel and Merric from FE11. Some friends of Epona's have recently shown her the wonder that is known as Metal Gear Solid. Though she only has maybe one idea to write about it, and she probably never will, she still has fun drawing Metal Gear RAY over and over again... Epona likes many characters from her favorite games, like Linebeck, Makar, Darunia, Guru-Guru, Poes, Gleeok, and Helmaroc King from Zelda; and Mia, Stefan, Zihark, Navarre, Joshua, and Rhys from Fire Emblem. She also thinks that Raiden from Metal Gear Solid 2 is kind of cute, but not as much of a real man as he is in 4, which she has finally played, and is sad because of all the things that happens to hers Raiden... Epona has finally played all of the Zeldas to date, and needs only to finish The Legend of Zelda, Adventure of Link, A Link to the Past, Four Swords, Four Swords Adventures and Oracle of Ages. She also believes that the CD-i Zelda's should not have been created, and though they are fun to make fun of, do not deserve to hold the Zelda name. She has also played all of the Fire Emblem games released in the United States, and she thinks that emulators are for cheaters who do not like to wait. Pokemon was the first game Epona played, and she will always love her copy of Pokemon Red, and will continue to love the Pokemon games no matter how bad the shows get, or how much others make fun of her for it. When Epona was a bit younger, she wrote some things that she almost regrets making now. While she will not be writing them anymore, she also understands that some people like to read her old fics, and so will not delete them. Some people have asked Epona where she got her screen name from. Epona is the name of the wonderfully brown and white horse in Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Twilight Princess, and with cameos in Four Swords Adventures and The Minish Cap. The '64' in Epona's name comes from the Nintendo 64, where Epona played some of her first video games ever, including Ocarina of Time, Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros., Star Fox and Diddy Kong Racing. Most anyone who has spoken to Epona knows that she rarely uses little smiles in typing, and has a strange manner of speaking. Some people have told her that she has bad grammar and should talk normally. Epona must say, that she knows of the rules of the English language (And to some degree, Spanish), and knows when it is time for serious talk. She oft times tells those people to look at her writings to show that yes, she knows that one cannot put '-ness' at the end of every adjective and that one only puts an 's' at the end of nouns to create plurals or to create possession. So leave Epona be about her speaking, as she may talk as she wishes, and as long as her writing is of the correct spelling and grammar, she will not be changing her manner of speech. Epona also notices that likes to eat line breakers, and hopes that anyone reading her profile will forgive her attempts to replace them with letters and periods. Third person is fun to write, it is. Anyway, some friends of mine have recently shown me the wonder that is known as Metal Gear Solid. They have let me play the entire seires (Save the oldy old ones), and I have plans to write a oneshot about mines poor, poor, Raiden... And draw RAY over and over again... III Though all of those games above are amazing and wonderful in their own way, there is one game in particular that should get to be recognized for its greatness. This game is known as Chibi-Robo. Unfortunately, this wonder of a Gamecube game is no longer sold in the U.S., and I don't think its DS sequel, Park Patrol is either... It's too bad that more people did not enjoy the beautiful magic that was Chibi-Robo. No longer will people laugh at Telly Vision's 'Blue Teriyaki' song, or the Dad's random outbursts of greatness. They won't get to hear the metal music that plays when Spydorz appear, or see Funky Phill's concerts. They can't train with the egg soldier people that I can't remember the name of right now, or make the aliens go through freak sickness by squirting them with water. No longer will the teddy bear go through nectar withdrawals or Drake Redcrest wonder the difference between good and evil with Sophie watching form afar. And Poor Chibi-Robo can no longer leap from the stairs and trees, no more shall he play chicken with a rogue egg or talk with the dog and frogs. He can't find the frog rings for the crazy daughter, spoons for the stressed mother, tickets for he lazy father, blocks for Dinah the eclectic dinosaur or the Scurvy Splinter for the angry pirates anymore. Ah, the wonders that people have missed... Though Chibi-Robo gets some credit in Super Smash Bros. Brawl what with Stickers and Trophies, it isn't enough to replace the memories that gamers have missed by ignoring Chibi-Robo. III Feel free to skip the following rant. There is something that has been bothering me for a very long time about this site. More specifically, the Zelda section. Twilight Princess brought what many people had wanted--a more realistic Zelda with an older more mature Link. I, personally, am fond of not only Wind Waker's style, but the Link that has been in WW and it's sequel(s). Now, with the release of Twilight Princess, the Zelda section has deteriorated to almost nothing more than self-inserts, or overdone ZeLink (Zelda/Link) fics. Every other Zelda game has been completely overshadowed by Twilight Princess Link's crazed Fangirls, all of them blocking out not only other Zelda game fics, but any quality TP stories. I'm aware, of course, that one of my best loved fics, Radiant Twilight, has this offending Link as a main character, and I also admit that when I first started the story, I was in that same state of mind of all those fangirls. But please, if you are reading this and thinking about writing a Zelda fanfic, please consider writing for another game than Twilight Princess, like the underappreciated A Link the the Past, or the Oracle games. I also understand that some people have only played Twilight Princess, and if you're one of them, why not trying to write something about a character no one pays attention to in the shadow of Link, Midna, Ilia and Zelda? Zant, Purlo, Agitha, Fandadi, Shad, Rusl, Telma, anyone? Even Ganondorf wants some love too! Just so long as you know the difference between Ganon and Ganondorf and spell their names with only one 'n'. To finish off my little rant, I will say that I love Twilight Princess and its Link, but really, I must say that you can't call yourself a LoZ lover if you only love one or two characters in the game. Expand what you like, play the other games if you can. TP may be great, but in my mind, it's not the greatest of all, and doesn't deserve the massive percentage of the Zelda fanfic section that it has control over. Alright, I'm done. Kay, moving on. You should know that anyone in my favorite author list is super great. First, there's my Beta-Reader, Bizz Likes Chocolate. She is... She's a bit difficult to describe with just words, really. She writes exceptionally well, though few people seem to truly appreciate her work... She has a refreshingly different writing style, and she can write a variety of different genres. But you shouldn't listen to me shower the praises upon her, read her stories! It's like eating chocolate dipped in rainbow flavored fairy dust! That is oh so very full of the tasties too, I should know. For reals. My cousin, isimplylovett is pretty good too. He's gone through some tough times, (especially the recent unexpected death of his boyfriend) and it really shows in his work. Though his updates are rather infrequent, when they do come, they are always wonderful! One of my friends, Lekki is new to pretty much everything having to do with fanfiction. She says I'm turning her into a 'nerd', which is true, I guess. But, if you happen to feel like reading some Zelda Greatness, she's the one to go to! Yes, I think those are my top three favorite authors. The others you'll have to go read and learn of their greatness on your own. What else do I like? Can’t think of anything else right now, so I’ll list the stories I am working on or have completed! Complete- DODONGO DISLIKES SMOKE If anyone's played most all of the Zelda games in existence as I have, they cannot have possibly have not noticed all the odd little things that many of the Bosses have or do. Contains creatures from almost every Zelda that has been; Legend of Zelda, Adventure of Link, A Link to the Past, Link's Awakening, Oracle of Seasons, Four Swords (Adventures), Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess and Phantom Hourglass. Even if you haven't played them all, I'm rather sure that you can still find entertainment in this wondrous piece of Zeldaness. (Zelda) Time- Kaepora Gaebora knew many stories—helped to write many of them—but the legend that would remain in his mind for all of his infinite years was that of the Hero of Time. (Zelda) Moss Haired Swordsmen- Basically a narrative of the second half of Chapter 19 of Path of Radiance following Stefan around. Written just for my beta-reader Bizz Likes Chocolate and inspired by the conversation of greatness between Stefan and Homasa in Chapter 19 of PoR. (Fire Emblem) Seagulls in the Wind- If anyone asked Aryll what she loved most in the world, she would say two things. First, her big brother. He’d always been there for her, and as long as he was there, she would never be alone. Second, Aryll loved seagulls, always bouncing about everywhere she walked. (Zelda) Bij the Babeh Mastah- When three unsuspecting Pokemon are dropped off at the Solacean Daycare, they soon learn why they are left there when a pink blob appears, a violet feather cap on its head and a strange promise passing its thick lips. The promise of 'Babehs'. (Pokemon) Twilit Poetry- A bunch of poems I wrote for an English project a couple of years ago. Mostly about Twilight Princess. My favorite is the Enemy Song at the end! (Zelda) I Gots A Priest in My Pocket- A rap sung by Rhys from Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn. Repetitive, but written by my sister. (Fire Emblem) The Pig Story- The very first Zelda game I ever played to completion was Wind Waker. When I first wandered about Outset Island, I discovered the joys of the little piggies that lived there. Such fun I had playing them them... until the accident with the little black one... (Zelda) Oscar's Pocket Problem- PoR, Ch. 13- Oscar discovers an unsettling problem with his pants... (Fire Emblem) So many things to work on at once! I know I may be a very, very, extremely slow updater, do not think that I'm ignoring these stories! In Progress- Radiant Twilight- When much is taken, something is returned. Despair looms on the horizon of two great nations, Hyrule and Tellius; unaware of the each other's existence. They must unite against one man, threatening everyone around him, to keep the peace in their lands. (Fire Emblem, Zelda) The Branded Rainbow Swordsman of the Desert- Stefan's biography. What was it like for him to grow up Branded? What were his parents like? How did he end up in the Grann desert? Oh so many questions to be answered in a story! (Fire Emblem) III Most anyone who has read any of my ongoing stories knows, I go very slowly. Very. Because of this, I can't be writing many things at once, otherwise, nothing would get done! These are all things that I'm still working on, but won't be updated in an even longer time than my normal fics. On Hold You’ve Defeated Poe the Ghost!- (No one has really read this, so I may or may not just get rid of it) A young boy--a hero in training, if you will--defeats his first monster, a Poe! Little does the boy know however, that by defeating that one Poe, he put all not only all of Hyrule in danger, but a parallel world as well. (Zelda) Forest of the Sea- (While still being rewritten and reformatted, I might actually start updating this again soon!) A story about Makar and Medli after they are freed from their temples at the end of Wind Waker and their adventures on Tetra's Pirate ship! (Zelda) III Well, I'm not really sure if I'll even write any of these, but if you're particularly fond of one of these possible ideas, go up to the tippy top of my profile here, and vote for it! Coming soon! The Lightning in the Rain- Raiden. His childhood had been ripped away, his life afterwords closely controlled by an organization few had even heard of. Once he finally broke free after a twisted test of his abilities, Raiden is free to live his life his own way. That is, until once again, everything is ripped from him, his unborn child, his love--even his body. (Metal Gear) Rolf's Alphabet Adventure- I don't really have a plot for this yet, as it's really more of an idea for a different way of writing things. Of course, though, Rolf will be the main character! (Fire Emblem) Billy the Zola- Again, not all to many on ideas for plot, but will follow a Zola and his friends (who may be an Octokrok, Leever, Like-Like, Pol's Voice, Tektite or a Vire.) as they do things. (Zelda) LET'S PLAY A MONEY MAKING GAME- Ah, it seems I'm fond of taking titles from the little dialogue from the first Zelda... Anyway, this may be a oneshot showing how evil the Money Making Game playing old men are, trying to part Link from his very hard-earned rupees. (Zelda) Error's Encyclopedia- Not exactly what the title says, I'm just rather fond of the way that it flows. I will write a short little story detailing a day in the lives of various Zelda creatures. First one I'm really considering is a Pol's Voice, as they are oh so cute indeed. (Zelda) I actually don't have a title for this one yet, but I feel the need to write a sort of sequel to Bij the Babeh Mastah, in the way that it involves all of my little Pokemons from Diamond. (Pokemon) Also without a title, but I want to write a Chibi-Robo! story. More than likely something about Funky Phil and Dinah, if anyone knows who they are... (Misc. Games) Hey look, another one without a title! Well, I also want to write a sequel to DODONGO DISLIKES SMOKE, but I'm not sure if I can. Won't stop me from trying, though. (Zelda) Time passes, and everyone's interests change, myself included. Unfortunately, these stories will not be updated any more. I'll keep them on the site for those who like them, but don't be expecting anything new. Discontinued... Epic of Ezlac- Ezlac is a baby Torchic orphaned by an earthquake. Read as she tries to stop the world she knows from being destroyed by natural disasters! (Pokemon) Flour, Blood and Love- Another poetry project, this time, for Sweeney Todd! My dear cousin, known here as isimplylovett requested these. (Sweeney Todd) |
