Author has written 1 story for Sailor Moon.

I used to write AU Sailor Moon fanfiction a few years ago, and post it up on A Sailor Moon Romance. Now the site is no longer around, I want to post up those past fanfics elsewhere on the web, hence their appearance on Fanfiction.net.

For those of you who happen to enjoy AU/AR, happy reading.

Best regards

Update: 22 Oct 2007

I write whatever seems to strike me; I guess one would call me an instinctive writer. My Sailor Moon fanfiction all happen to be AU/AR romance, and try as I might, I couldn’t write canon. (This hasn’t happened for other fandoms I’ve written for). There’s always debate about how “true” AU/AR is to the particular anime/manga/TV series/book, etc. For me, I suppose I just wrote whatever the Sailor Moon muse sitting inside me dictated. I know for sure these characters lived in my head and lived out the story whilst I wrote it. The romance in Sailor Moon moved me tremendously… and I was young once, and touched by the thought of love.

Cliché (complete)

AU/AR. Darien/Serena.

This story was first written in 2000. I had been reading Sailor Moon fanfiction for a year and I came across this bittersweet story of rivals who hated each other, fell in love, but couldn’t be together. Upset by the bitter (if realistic) ending, I decided to write my own version, with a happy ending! I wanted to put things right, so I created this story.

Looking back now, this story has some good writing—and excess sap, unfortunately. I cringe at parts that could have been more subtly conveyed, but I have chosen not to amend this story. I want to remember it as it is, flaws and all.

From Across The Room (complete)

AU/AR. Darien/Serena.

This was written around 2000/2001, right after Cliché. There is this scene in the anime, R season, where we see a memory of little Usagi handing a rose to little Mamoru in a hospital. I couldn’t forget this scene, so I transformed it into something else that became a powerful beginning to this story.

At the time I began this story, there were tons of Valentine’s Day fanfiction around. I wanted to write my own, believing that it could be accomplished within six to eight chapters… the result was a sprawling fifteen chapter romance that had oodles of angst, and never made it to any Valentine’s Day.

I was experimenting with my writing then, trying for the angst effect… this was amongst my earliest attempts at super-angst, and fortunately the result wasn’t too bad, although some chapters (especially chapter 8) are in dire need of much better writing.

Cover (incomplete)

AU/AR. Japanese names used. Eventual Usagi/Mamoru, Minako/Kunzite Rei/Jadeite, Makoto/Nephrite, and Ami/Zoicite.

I wanted to write a different sort of Sailor Moon fanfic. This was meant to be a darkish sort of mystery, carefully crafted. So carefully crafted, in fact, that I put extra thought into each chapter, and churned each chapter out every six months or so. There’s a prologue and nine chapters, but I only have four chapters. The rest have been lost after A Sailor Moon Romance passed on. If anyone has the remaining five chapters, I would greatly appreciate it if you could let me have copies. I’m looking through Way Back in an attempt to retrieve them, but I haven’t been successful so far. My back-up copies have also been lost (and, I suspect, corrupted, as they were on an old floppy disk).

The Honey-Trap I (complete)

AU/AR. Darien/Serena.

This was written and completed from 2002/2003. The full version consisted of a prologue and about twenty-three chapters. However, I have lost all but the prologue and the first three chapters. Again, if anybody has the full version, please send me copies! This story was inspired by Savage Garden’s To The Moon And Back and Roberta Flack’s Killing Me Softly. The Savage Garden song stirred me deeply and there seemed to be a story that could be told with it. As for the Roberta Flack song, I really disliked The Fugees’ version of it and took this as an opportunity to tell people of Roberta Flack’s version.

At the same time, I wanted a twist on another clichéd storyline: the one where the girl seeks vengeance and falls for the person she is trying to vent her rage on. I made Darien the girl.

There was meant to be a second part to this story, but I have so far been unable to find inspiration for the sequel.

Side Story 1: Mina and Kunzite

Side Story 2: Raye and Jadeite

AR/AU. Side stories to The Honey-Trap.

I remember that someone mentioned on a forum once that the manga had a drawing of the four Inner Senshi and Prince Endymion’s four generals, together. There has been speculation that they were couples: Ami and Zoicite, Rei and Jadeite, Makoto and Nephlite/Nephrite, and Minako and Kunzite. I was intrigued with the idea, and sorry that the anime and manga never seemed to develop this. (Kunzite and Zoicite were a couple in the anime, oddly enough, and Nephrite fell in love with one of the girls’ classmates).

I wanted them to be together… so Mina’s and Raye’s little side romances were born. I was going to write Ami’s and Makoto’s stories, which remain nebulous shapes to this day in some dim corner of my mind.

To Chase A Star (incomplete)

AU/AR. Japanese names. Eventual Usagi/Mamoru, Minako/Kunzite Rei/Jadeite, Makoto/Nephrite, and Ami/Zoicite.

I began this in 2004/2005. For a long time, I missed hearing the song Pilot of the Airwaves … and so a deejay romance took shape in my head. There were eight chapters and a prologue; all are missing—please let me know if you have copies.

You can see how my writing has evolved and, hopefully, even improved over the years.

I’ve moved on to other fandoms in the meantime, amongst them FF8, X/1999, Prince of Tennis and, most recently Bleach. Currently I write most for Prince of Tennis.

Cliché reviews
AU. DarienSerena. Oldest cliché ever once upon a time, a boy and a girl hated each other. They grew up, met each other again, and fell in love.
