Hi all,

I'm basically like everyone else here: I love to read and write. Having the opportunity to do both is why I write fanfiction.

I read mostly fantasy novels, so I write mostly fantasy. Atm I am totally hooked on Tamora Pierce: I read her while I was in high school and have recently rediscovered them. I'm rereading POTS and COM/CO at them moment, so I'm focusing mainly on fanfiction for those right now.

I am currently just at the end of my first year at university, doing a bachelor of communications degree x with a bachelor of arts degree but i may change to a single degree next year. Saying this, I am extremely loaded down with work atm and so it might be a while (about 5 weeks at least) until I can seriously write fanfiction again. Please dont hate me:)

I tend to get writers block pretty easy so I'll need a lot of encouraging and ideas once i start writing again. PLz help me out if you can!

Hi again,

It's definitely been a while since I've had a chance to write fanfiction - about eight months at least. Uni just went back as well, so I'm not likely to be able to write fanfiction for about 12 weeks, until uni is over with. For anyone that's interested, I did change to a single degree this year - I'm now in the second semester of second year Communication and Cultural Studies, majoring in creative writing. The unit this semester is called Experimental Writing, which to my chagrin is mainly poetry. I have little to no experience with poetry and am struggling to do any good work, but if there is anything I like that is inspired by any of my favourite fantasy texts, I will post them online. Probably wont though - I really do suck, especially compared with a lot of the other students in my class :P

Main obsession: my obsessions havent changed much, but I can add to the list the Twilight series and The Host by Stephenie Meyer. Can't wait for the movie to come out! I would write fanfiction for Twilight, however I just finished Breaking Dawn and to be honest, in my opinion, Meyer wrapped up all the loose ends and finished it so neatly that writing any more on the characters would not do the books any justice, so I think I'll leave them alone, however much I loved them. Same goes for The Host, although there are a couple of little ideas surrounding those characters floating around my head, so who knows.

I am currently reading Daughter of the Empire by Raymond E. Feist and Jenny Wurts, which so far I'm enjoying :) its just finding the time to read is getting harder and harder: I have two jobs, plus full time study and babysitting my four month old niece every other day leaves little time for endulgence. I'll finish it eventually, and hopefully get back into writing fanfic. I've started a couple of my own stories, but they've been festering for a while and I can't find the inspiration or, as I've already mentioned, the time to write any more. I definitely will get back into it - nothing can ever stop me from writing for long.

I havent written fanfiction for a while - been focusing on my original stories. Writers block is gone! Note that the published story up is in desperate need of rewriting which I am currently doing (sometimes). The story I am working on right now isnt up yet but it will be soon.
