Author has written 3 stories for Final Fantasy VII, Escaflowne, and Avatar. I believe that I could never really describe the changes I've been through since I was last here. I've been shot at (with blanks), I've seen my family decimated and slowly rebuilt. I've overcome depression, and grown from a boy into a man, and one I like. When I first joined Fanfiction.net, I wrote stories to escape. I wanted to fix the wrongs in the universe, and put myself into a place where the real world couldn't break me. I wrote Man of Zaibach to try and and bring a sense of humanity to a side of Escaflowne I thought was devoid of it, but also to try and convey the ostracisation I felt at school. I wrote The Sky People's War to come to terms with British involvement in Afghanistan. And The Spirit Hunt? That was the first thing I ever published on here. It's terrible, utter tripe, but it helped me deal with the death of my best friend. Other stories have come and gone, some reviewed well, others very badly, but mostly those three have stuck with me. If I ever do become a published author, I will look back on them with a mixture of nostalgia and embarrassment. The romance in Man of Zaibach is overdone and pathetic. The jingoism in Sky People's War is ham-handed and ridiculous. But they've got heart. I like that. I'm nineteen these days. I'm in University. I'm getting ready to join the British Army. I no longer feel alone in this world. To anyone who saw some random story and wanted to check on the author, or was simply intrigued by my username, I say hello, and thank you. |
