Author has written 7 stories for Naruto. Updated 12/23/2014- Hey everyone! I lied! =D I'm very sorry for what happened last year. I unfortunately was bogged down with life. But I will be posting a chapter in the next 2 days for Crimson Christmas, so stay tuned! Updated 7/3/13- Great new everyone! The rough draft of Crimson Christmas chapter 6 has just been completed! What this means (it being July and all...) is that I will most likely wait until December to post it! It still needs edited and whatnot, but it has been written and therefore should make an appearance in early December. HOPEFULLY, that means I can also get started on Chapter 7, work on it in bits and pieces over the next 4-5 months, and also get that posted this year. No promises (obviously, as you have seen what has happened in years past). But, I also have a ton of very short ideas that I am thinking about putting up, so maybe there will be more from me in the next month or so. Thank you for reading and for encouraging me this whole time. I really do appreciate you. Updated 2/1/2013- Hey all, I just wanted to apologize that I still haven't gotten around to updating CC. Here's the scoop: I graduated from college in early December, was busy with family during the Christmas season, was job-hunting in early January and started my new job this past week. There are many excuses I could give, but the fact is that in the limited amount of free time I have had, I just haven't had the drive to push through the difficult scenes to write. I am still working on it from time to time and I hope to get it online faster than I did last year, but it's been rough. Thanks for understanding, and I apologize if you have been patiently looking forward to reading it. Thank you for all of your support, and I hope to have good news (and a chapter) sooner, rather than later! Hey, my name is Will. I'm an engineer in the real world and a closet fan fiction writer by night. Alas, I now work a heck of a lot more than I used to, so my updates are few and far between. But I'm glad you decided to stop by! So, I guess you've worked out by now that I do Naruto fanfics, since you probably read one of my stories before bothering to check out my profile, but let me give you the run-down on what kinds of manga/anime I enjoy. Naruto was my first real anime fandom, where I actually followed it from start to... well, wherever it is now, and learned just about everything there was to know about it. I'm also a fan of Bleach, Attack on Titan, Fullmetal Alchemist, Code Geass, Death Note, Tsubasa: Resevoir Chronicles, Samurai Champloo, FLCL, as well as some things that aren't of Japanese origin, such as Star Wars (an engineer; can you really expect anything less?). My favorite fiction series of all time is one called The Night Angel Trilogy, comprised of The Way of Shadows, Shadow's Edge, and Beyond the Shadows. It's a book series about assassins, with a little bit of magic involved and some seriously epic characters. There are so many characters that you really get to know, and all of them are so deep, and there's such a detailed backstory that I wish it had its own book! I hope that Brent Weeks' writing style becomes apparent in my work over time, because I was just amazed with that series. The saga he is currently writing is The Light Bringer Trilogy, which is also fantastic. A close second is the Darth Bane series, written by Drew Karpyshyn. It takes place in the Star Wars universe thousands of years before the movies in the Old Republic. In fact, if you played the Knights of the Old Republic video game, Drew Karpyshyn was the executive writer on that project, so you already know how good he is! The first book follows Bane as he makes his way from a disgruntled miner, to an elite soldier, to a Sith Lord. After that, it's all about Bane's path to restore the Sith to their former glory, to put power back into the hands of a select few, and to use fear and cunning as the ultimate weapons of the Dark Side. Honorable mentions include the Demon Cycle series written by Peter Brett and the Shadowdance series by David Dalglish. Okay, so onto what I do around here. As you saw, I do try to keep readers updated with the status of my work and date it so everyone knows when exactly I was working on what. But here's what I've got to offer: Naruto fics. Pairing fanfictions- This is my guilty pleasure, where I shamelessly ship the pairings that I love; from SasuSaku (my favorite), to NejiTen, to NaruHina. My fics will probably always contain hints to these pairings if the characters are involved, and perhaps even more (ShikaTema, etc). Pairing fanfictions, such as NejiTen: Burdensome, usually follow the same blueprint- a two-chapter story where the first chapter sets up some tension and backstory and the second chapter resolves the situation. Burdensome, I feel, really captures the mood of Team Gai, with some super-exaggerated youthful expressions by Lee and Gai, and some exasperation from Neji and Tenten. Pairing fanfictions that are kind of different from "Pairing fanfictions"- Yeah, this header probably doesn't make much since at all, but I want to talk about a couple specific fanfictions. First of all, the SasuSaku Christmas story. My grand plan is to write up 7-8 chapters, one for each era of Sasuke's life, and have them all Christmas-themed. First when he's a happy child at 7 yrs, then a brooding pre-teen who has lost everything at 11 yrs, followed by an ambitious member of Team 7 at 12 yrs, then the solitude of spending Christmas in the darkness of Orochimaru's lair at 15 yrs, then the joy of being home once again when the bad guys are down for the count and Sasuke is home with his friends about about 16 yrs, and ... we'll go on from there soon. Thank you all for visiting my page, and I hope to hear from you soon! Anything I post here on this page or any work of fanfiction that is published under this username is all owned by myself (some restrictions apply; see specific chapter headings), and should not be used anywhere but fanfiction.net without permission and proper credit. |
