Age: Nevi is finally old enough to be considered un-cool by high school students. Or maybe she's just plain un-cool? The latter is certainly plausible.

Occupation: Unemployed philosophy BA. Wooo!

Activities: In her spare time, Nevi likes to jog through her neighborhood with her moronic canine companion, Bob. Who, incidentally, is a horrible running parter. She also enjoys philosophizing, arguing, listening to NPR, and more arguing.

Interests: Aren't dinosaurs hilarious?

Music: Almost anything and everything. She has currently resigned herself to listening to Brand New's Deja Entendu ... over, and over, and over, and may someday admit to herself that she thinks it's a decent album. She also enjoys obscure Canadian and Scottish indie rock, for some reason. On a related note, she would like to state that after learning that the band Mull Historical Society consisted, in fact, of only one guy, her view of the world as a safe and peaceful place was immediately and irrevocably shattered.

TV: Golden Girls, Frasier, Futurama, MST3K, and practically anything on Lifetime. I know. Shut up.

Favorite Movies: Vanilla Sky, practically every Disney movie ever made, Entropy, I Heart Huckabees, The Scent of Green Papaya, Die Hard, Gone Baby Gone, all the Bourne movies, and ANYTHING with Jeff Goldblum.

Books: Nevi enjoys reading Faulkner and e.e. cummings, and she finds the work of Katherine Anne Porter to be particularly riveting. She reads more Nietzsche and Heidegger than is healthy, and would start a bar fight with Sartre if given the chance. Just saying.

Question I Am Asked Most Frequently: "Did you just pull a banana out of your purse?" ...And let me just say that the answer is yes, but I have my reasons. Healthy food can be hard to come by sometimes, and you always need to be prepared, so I travel with...bananas. And granola bars, though I suppose that is not as strange.
