If you're viewing this page, I hope it's because you have read and enjoyed one or more of my stories. I am addicted to watching, reading, and writing Firefly, as you may be realizing from the stories I tell. I love all the characters, but some of my pairings may seem strange to others. I hope you find them at least plausible within the framework of the stories themselves. I am also more than fond of feedback, be it good, bad, or indifferent. It really spurs me on to more and better writing, so please take just a moment to respond to the stories you've read. I would be delighted to read your input! Administrative Note: For those who are reading the Mal/River stories in order of posting, I just want to point out that one of the stories is missing from this page, as it is posted to the ever-talented Midnight Obsidian's page instead. It comes into the story after the events of "Forward Motion". It is entitled "Four of a Kind". Here is the link, should you like to read it: http://www.fanfiction.ws/s/4444656/1/. As always, I very much appreciate your input! 10-11-2008: Farewell to Writing Firefly Fanfic (for now) Well, here I am at the end of the story. Some folks, I’m sure, will be glad to see that it’s finally done, though I’d like to think that most folks will be a little sad to see it end. I can honestly say that I’ve enjoyed the process of watching the story evolve over the course of many months. When I started writing Firefly fanfic back in April of 2007, I never would have imagined that it would become such an enjoyable past-time for me, nor such a rewarding one. The people I’ve met through the work and the joy they’ve brought into my life I cannot begin to adequately describe. Prior to writing the first fic, “Voices”, I had not written anything creatively other than office memos for twenty years. So, I am eternally grateful for those kind souls who encouraged me to continue writing in those early days when the reviews were few and far between. As the storyline progressed, more and more people began to weigh in with their thoughts and opinions, and I treasured each one. The writing itself is a tremendous pleasure, but the reviews add spice to my life that is much appreciated. The support of my work has been a determining factor in encouraging me to go forward with projects of original fiction that have been floating around in my head for years, begging to be written down. I just want to say thank you to all the people who have helped me hone my skills with their comments and observations. Hopefully, I will be able to use what I have learned from you to make my original fiction all that it can be. To be fair to the new projects, I will not be writing Firefly fanfic for awhile, as I only have a certain amount of time each day for writing. Wish me luck. Though I will be concentrating on writing other things, I’m sure I’ll find time to check back into the Firefly ‘verse to read all the great stories that others are writing. I am, after all, addicted to these wonderful characters, who have been talking in my head since I first saw Firefly. And one day, perhaps they’ll whisper another story in my ear as well. If so, I’m sure I will be forced to write it down and post it. Addiction is a cruel mistress. Until then, I just want to say that it has been a real pleasure. As always, happy reading and writing to you all. 6-5-2009 Okay, Okay, I Admit It These seductive Firefly characters drew me back in with their constant whispering in my head and such. They are just altogether too intriguing for me to ignore. So, I guess I'm not quite done with this 'verse yet. Hope that you feel the same way! 11-3-2009--Original Fiction Just thought I'd post a little link to some of my original fiction, in case someone out there should be interested in taking a peek at it. I've just started posting some of it to the site, so rest assured that more will be forthcoming in the future. If you're in the neighborhood, stop in and set a spell. Here's the link: http://. |
