Hey, I figured that it was about time I actually wrote something in here. Gah, I never know what to say in these things!

My name's Megan and I live in Edinburgh (the one in Scotland, not Indiana) - my family moved there from London a few years ago and it was the best thing that ever happened to me, although it still bugs me that I never managed to pick up the accent.

I love writing and using words to express different things. I guess that I'm first and foremost a songwriter, but writing fiction is something that I've been getting more and more into lately. Music was definitely my first love, and I've been playing piano since I was six, as well as clarinet, saxophone, and guitar for the past five years or so. I tried out a violin once - it did not go well.

I've been dancing for a while now and I find it the easiest thing to get lost in. When I'm dancing or playing music, I get a high off the feeling of being able to breathe deep, relax into it, and trust myself to get it right. The sensation of having a routine or a piece well and truly cemented into your muscle memory is awesome.

As well as creative stuff, I also find science totally fascinating, the workings of the human body being a particular interest; I'm at med school and with any luck someday I'll make myself known as a fantastic doctor!

This sounds quite a lot like an autobiography or a resume or something, and I'm not sure if that's how it's meant to be or not... Ah, well!

Check out the stuff I've submitted - two of them contain songs I've written, but After Angel is the first full-length thing I've ever done, and for that reason I feel pretty proud of it. I hope you enjoy browsing through my writing, and let me know what you think!
