Mech002 is now Azrael Eternum. I love writing (especially considering my Journalism degree) but I never seem to allot myself enough time to write what I want. I'm also working on a gaming blog which I will link to when I feel like it.

Current interests: Shin Megami Tensei, especially the Persona series (I've played all of them, yes, even Persona 2 Innocent Sin) and just started the Devil Summoner series; Higurashi (just finished the anime, wow, just wow); my constantly growing unplayed video game library.

Wow, I've only started playing these games, and they both amaze me so far. I'd dismissed the DS before as I was never a fan of handhelds, but after gaining so much enjoyment from my PSP, I decided to pick these up along with Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days and Re:Coded. More on all of them as I play more!

Current Projects:

HIATUS ALERT!! - As many of you may have noticed, chapter 6 of Sins of the Fool has been a long time coming (over two months now D:) Between one of our staff members at work leaving and a jump in weekly responsibilities, as well as some new video game acquisitions, I've been heavily distracted. To top that off, I was effectively out of commission for half of December between family, travel and sickness. Fun! But a note to all you loyal readers out there who probably don't care about any of this: I am NOT dead! And neither is Sins! I've decided to change a couple of key story elements (which haven't even presented themselves yet, so don't worry if you've already read everything I've posted). In that vein, however, all of my original chapters are getting rewrite treatment. A couple of reviewers remarked that I was doing too much telling, not enough showing. So I went back and read through the early chapters. Facepalm moment! For crying out loud, one of the first things I learned in my creative writing classes was to SHOW, not tell. Major plot elements will remain the same, but for any of you highly detail oriented people out there it could prove to be an entertaining reread. I'm also going to try to highlight Souji's faults a bit more. I want him to come across as a recovering alcoholic, and he just seemed too recovered after the first chapter in my opinion. My work on this project begins tonight (January 24th, 2011). Once the rewrites are done, the story shall recommence full force. I doubt I'll be sticking to the once a week release schedule I had earlier, as I think that contributed to the lack of quality in my earlier work. I will, however, strive to make this story the best it can be. Also, this should be the only major rewrite. I have a much more concrete vision for the story going forward than I did before, so the only revisiting I'll be doing to past chapters from this point on will be for corrections and minor edits. So join me, fellow readers, as we dive once more into the breach.

Persona: Sins of the Fool - Five years after Inaba, Souji's powers are slowly tearing his mind apart. Far from home, things seem hopeless until a former Velvet Room resident shows up with a request. He must return to Inaba and prepare to face a foe unlike anything he's ever known. Persona 1/2/3/4 crossover, though the main focus will be characters from 3 and 4 for canonical reasons (especially considering the end of 2). I'll try to post a chapter a week, as long as work permits.
