Not much to say. I'm old enough to have learned to type on an actual typewriter because that was all there was. I grew up in Detroit, moved to New York City, and now I'm in Honolulu. I don't write much, an idea has to really, really grab me -- but when that happens they don't let go. I tend to write in short bursts, so unless it's a multi-part idea, most of the stuff I've written has been fairly short.

I think I'm good at getting into characters' heads and expressing how they feel through what they say and do, and good at dialog as long as the characters talk in modern middle-American english. I wouldn't want to try to write a character with a southern accent or a British accent, since I know I wouldn't get it right. I'm not so good at coming up with my own plots or my own characters though, which I guess is why I've tended to write fanfic crossovers -- characters I understand from one story plunked into a situation from another.
