Their cat dies, and ex-lovers bury the cat together. Tooru still does not know a lot of answers about Tobio. Oikage.

This was what was easy about Tsukishima. He did not hide his feelings towards you; you knew then that he had once disliked you, and perhaps a year later he would grudgingly follow you. But he would never like you. You should have let those feelings stayed. Tsukikage. In their final year in high school, Kageyama is made captain, and old dreams resurface to haunt him.

"We played tennis together too," he says. He is conscious that he is breathing. All he has now is blackness. Through closed eyes he whispers his words, and the darkness around them is so still and quiet that Ryoma knows it is, indeed, the end. Battle Royale crossover. Atobe Ryoma. Character death.

They had once dated; they broke up when it turned out that Ryoma declined an offer for the U.S. Open. He was seventeen. He could not offer an explanation and Atobe also did not give a real reason when he bade him goodbye. He accepted that quietly and moved on. They meet again years later and revive old ghosts.

Atobe is in his first year and he is an aggressive brat who provokes his vice captain a little too much. But he doesn't know how cruel Echizen can be when he chooses to, and how indifferent he is to his enemies. Age-reversed, with Atobe in his first year and Ryoma in his third. Keigo is irritated that it's snowing. Ryoma is irritated that Keigo is taking it out on him. They end up curled up together to watch a movie. Atoryo fluff.

Ryoma is a photographer while Kunimitsu is about to go pro, and Atobe is somewhere in the background as a mere annoyance, until he isn't. There are some choices Ryoma must make and resentments he must leash out, before he can move on with his life.

They both must fight for their thrones when all goes astray; they must forge alliances that are unseemly. Above all, they must choose between their ambitions and their legacies. Eventual Atoryo.
