I've been writing fan fiction for nearly two years now, and it's something I genuinely love doing despite its time consuming nature and lack of monetary compensation LOL. Seriously though, I love writing and can write about nearly everything you could possibly think of. To me, writing is a way of expressing things to other people that you might not necessarily be able to verbalize. Even the worst writers have a message they're trying to convey, and I guess that's why sites like this one are good. Granted, it's filled to the brim with absolute crap in my opinion but, hey, who am I to judge? Anyway, down to the nitty gritty of what I'm about as a writer of fan fiction. As I'm sure you all know by now, I write primarily in the Power Rangers fandom and am a huge mark for the Tommy/Kimberly relationship. I look at those two and just see a perfect love. Perhaps my take on their relationship is blinding at times, but I just can't see them ever being eternally happy with anyone except for each other. You will never, and i mean never, see me write Tommy/Kat, Kim/Jason, or any other combination involving TK with anyone else unless it involves the demise of that relationship in the story. To the people who read and review my stories regularly, I'd just like to say THANK YOU! I'd say it a million times over if I could but I'm sure you'd all get bored in a hurry reading THANK YOU a million times. As unpaid writers, the reviews of the people who read and enjoy our stories is what keeps us writing. So please, if you read a story--mine or someone else's--leave a review, even if you don't like it. Let us know what you thought, what you enjoyed and what you didn't. Whether you realize it or not, we love hearing from you regardless of what you have to say. Writers who have inspired me: Compared to some of the more popular writers on this site, I'm still relatively new to the world of fan fiction. I think my first story started in January of 2007 so I've been writing on here for just under two years. Right off the bat I was spoiled with Pink-Green-White-Forever's Return of the Great Power. So her along with JTrevizo, Shawn30 and Cheryl Roberts are the ones who inspired and continue to inspire me to write. They are all awesome writers each bringing something different and special to their stories. I hope the stuff I write is half as good as what they put out. Also, I gotta give a special shoutout to Shawn30. In talking to him and reading his work over the last year or so, I feel like I've grown so much as a writer from where I was at when I started doing this. Anything you guys read on here as already been read by Shawn before being posted. He's the one I bounce my ideas off of, and I honestly don't think I'd be as good of a writer as I am now if not for some of the conversations that Shawn and I have had. Plus, he's the only other guy who writes T/K as detailed and as passionate as I do. In a universe (fictional, of course ;-) ) dominated by women, the guys gotta stick together. Haha. Link for everything you ever wanted to know about me as a writer: http:///group/ShawnsLibrary/message/1383 Tommy Facts (like Chuck Norris Facts but better 'cause they came from my twisted little brain. So don't steal them, dammit!) -Tommy asked Jason to come back and be the Gold Ranger because he knew Jason could do it. Jason came back because he didn't want to piss Tommy off. -Tommy doesn't need a Battlizer. Tommy is a Battlizer. -There's a reason Thrax waited until Tommy wasn't active before returning. -Tommy will always be the one with the muscles and the power. -Saban didn't want to sell PR to Disney. Tommy dismembered him for making Kim break up with him. -Tommy refuses to appear on a Bruce Kalish season because he doesn't want to upstage Bruce with the explosions he creates naturally. -Guns don't kill people, Tommy kills people. -The city of Angel Grove once named a street after Tommy for his service and saving the city so many times but they had to rename it when everyone who crossed the street died. No one crosses Tommy Oliver and lives. -Surrounded by Tyrannodrones and Mesogog, strapped to a table, with no powers, Tommy laughed to himself and said "I have 'em right where I want 'em." -Tommy doesn't believe in Murphy's Law, only Tommy's Law-Whatever CAN go wrong, WILL be resolved by sacrificing the Zords. -Remember the three R's: Respect for Tommy, Respect for Tommy, and Respect for the fact that Tommy hasn't killed you already. -Tommy laughed when America invaded Iraq looking for WMD's. The only real WMD in the world is located at 1992 Valencia Road in Reefside. -Jesus has a Tommy Fish on his car. -There have been five different colors worn by female Rangers. Let's just say, when Tommy wants to taste the rainbow, he doesn't eat Skittles. - -Tommy didn't need the Dragon Dagger. It was just a ploy so that the other Rangers didn't know where the music was really coming from. Tommy is so awesome he farts music. -Tommy knew locking his Jeep wasn't going to help him. He just wanted the T-Rex to think it had an advantage. (RIP, Rex) -The "steroid era" in baseball didn't start until Tommy started bottling his urine and selling it on the black market. -Contrary to popular belief, the Black Dino Gem was actually the product of a very painful dump. Never wanting that much power to fall into evil hands, Tommy encased the gem in one of the most impenetrable substances known to man. The stuff was white...you do the math. -Tommy's strength lies within his hair. The Biblical story of Samson borrowed heavily from Tommy's own history. -Tommy didn't have his own theme song as a Zeo Ranger, but Jason did. There's a reason Ron Wasserman left Saban that same year. -Let's get one thing straight: Tommy can't help you. He's just a high school science teacher. -There have been no terrorist attacks on U.S. soil since Tommy reappeared in Forever Red. I'm just saying... -If you ever hear the words "Aww, man" coming from somewhere nearby...RUN! You only get one warning. -When Tommy got the breakup letter from Kim, those weren't tears of sadness, they were tears of joy...Kat doesn't use her teeth. -Tommy can teach a martial arts class, go to school, and save the world in just about 20 minutes. Beat that, Jack Bauer. -There's the right way, the wrong way, and the Tommy Way; it's basically the right way but faster with more explosions. -Zhane was once described as "the most powerful Ranger in the universe." Upon hearing this, Tommy challenged Zhane to prove it and no one has heard from the Silver Ranger since. -Tommy doesn't have a bad memory, just better things to do. -Ernie didn't leave Angel Grove for the military. He went into the Witness Protection Program after trying to collect on four years of Tommy running off without paying. -In commemoration of Tommy's awesomeness, Dr. Pepper is officially changing it's name to Dr. Oliver. |
