Author has written 5 stories for Dracula, Dark Shadows, Forever Knight, and Ghost and Mrs. Muir.

As you can likely tell from the kind of fiction I've posted so far, my first and foremost passion is vampires. This love affair with the undead began for me back in the late 60's, at the tender age of eight, with a television show called Dark Shadows (which was all the rage when I was a kid -- and, yes, I truly am old enough to have seen the show in first-run!). Throughout the years this interest has grown to encompass media vampires of all kinds, in tv, film, and literature.

My second, and equally long-held, passion is musical theater, so don't be surprised if I occasionally post a story set in The Phantom of the Opera or some other musical universe.

At present, my current musical theater obsession centers around a German musical called Tanz der Vampire which is based on the 1967 Roman Polanski film The Fearless Vampire Killers (or Dance of the Vampires, as it is known outside of the US). The brilliant score to this excellent musical (originally directed on the Vienna stage by Polanski himself!) is written by American composer/songwriter/producer Jim Steinman (most famous for penning and producing Meat Loaf's two best-selling "Bat Out of Hell" albums, Bonnie Tyler's hit singles "Total Eclipse of the Heart" and "Holding Out for a Hero", and Celine Dion's "It's All Coming Back to Me Now.") And, yes, if you haven't already guessed by now, the music of Jim Steinman is also another of my greatest passions!

Unfortunately, Tanz der Vampire has yet to play (in its brilliant original version) here in the USA (though there was a completely rewritten, vastly inferior, and deservedly short-lived Broadway version about five years ago called Dance of the Vampires starring a dreadfully miscast Michael Crawford), so I've had to follow it around the world like some crazed stalker to see productions in Stuttgart, Hamburg, Warsaw, Berlin and Budapest! The original 1997 Vienna cast album starring the late Steve Barton -- The Phantom of the Opera's original Raoul! -- as the sexy and compelling Count Von Krolock (see my avatar!) is readily available through venues such as Amazon or eBay, so if you ever have a chance to give it a listen, please do! I highly recommend it! You may not understand the lyrics (which are sung in German) but the music itself is fantastic and the vocal performances superb! There are also cast albums available from the Warsaw and Tokyo productions, if you prefer Polish or Japanese to German. ;-)

If you're interested in reading an English-language adaptation of Tanz der Vampire that I've written (just so you know what they're singing about!), please click through to my Homepage.

Fair warning: As far as my fan fiction goes, I tend to write "dark" so if you're looking for "fuzzy-bunny, happy-ending" type stories, you may not find many among my postings, though I don't rule out the possibility of an occasional "lighter" story from time to time. However, my muse generally runs to the dark and cynical side ...

Of course, as a fledgling writer, I welcome any and all feedback! If you're so moved, please feel free to post a Review, and let me know what you feel I'm doing right, or what I'm doing wrong. Also, though I try to do my "homework" before writing fiction based on a specific show or film, there may be times when my "research" hasn't been quite thorough enough, resulting in an occasional lapse of continuity or inconsistency with established canon. Please feel free to point out these errors and observations as well, so I can make a "fix" and repost a corrected version!

Thanks much, and I hope you enjoy my fiction!

My Many and Varied Interests ...

I have currently posted fiction in these "universes":

Dark Shadows
Dracula (movie version w/Frank Langella)
Forever Knight (for those interested in such things, I'm a Dark Knightie and a FoD)

I also have on my Freewebs site an English-language version of the musical Tanz der Vampire which I've adapted from a translation of the original German libretto. Just click on my Homepage link, and it will take you directly to my Freewebs site, where you can find the adaptation ...

I am currently working on stories set in these "universes" (whether or not I actually finish and post them is anybody's guess -- I'm a notoriously slow and meticulous writer!):

Blake's 7
Doctor Who (classic series - 3rd, 6th, and 7th Doctor stories in progress)
The Ghost and Mrs. Muir (tv series)
The Phantom of the Opera

I also have a few more Forever Knight stories in the works, as well as a continuing series of original stories (not fanfic, so it can't be posted here) featuring a vampire character of my own creation.
