The Chronos project was created by The Remembrancers, leaders of a new society to pick out the strongest warriors from their respective factions and create a superior group of super humans. However, when a handful the subjects grew sentient and the experiment failed, The Remembrancers were forced to throw their remaining subjects in to a new alternate reality to fix their mistakes.
