I’ve been a writer for many years, though it’s only recently that I’ve felt the courage to share the many stories that my imagination creates. When I’ve come across a book or a movie that just draws me in, I can’t help but create my own character and dropping them into those created worlds. So, I gotta give a shout out to Tamora Pierce who drew me in with her Lioness Quartet back when I was barely a teenager. Then came the likes of Mercedes Lackey and Anne McCaffery. Now there’s Diana Gabaldon, Rick Riordan, Linsey Hall, A.L. Knorr, S.T. Bende, and Leia Stone.

TV shows like the 100, Dollhouse, Xena, and a few others.

All of these have inspired me and stories have emerged. I’m not even going to delve into the inspiration that music has given me. There are too many artists to even mention.

Writing has always been a release for me growing up. I turned to writing and reading in an effort to deal with the world around me. I think it shows in my stories. My characters get to live the lives I’ve thought about or say the things I wished to say. Even as far as be the kind of person that I strive to be.

Yes, right now, I’m delving into the world of fan fiction, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t have original stories too. You’ll see that I have a fascination with the supernatural world alongside a fantasy world. You’ll see that I’m interested in the Celts and Vikings. Yeah, I got a thing for historical fiction too.

Now, if I could ever learn how to research properly, who knows what may come out in story.
