I'm a mom of 2, I've enjoyed reading and dabbling with writing all my life and and I love the world JKR has created. Now that I've written a fairly long FF, myself, I'm in even greater awe of JKR's talent and ability to weave such a detailed and amazing storyline over 7 books!

I began reading HPFF while waiting for Book 7 and eventually decided to try to write a fic myself. At the time, I was worried that I might not like the way the HP series would end, and so I figured I'd write my own version ('The Power to Vanquish') for fun and just for myself. My husband kept bugging me to read it (after all, I was spending a lot of what little spare time I had writing it) and, to my surprise, he actually liked it. With much encouragement from him, I finally worked up the nerve to post it (although on a different HPFF site at that time) for others to read and I was able to finish it just before Book 7 came out. I've decided to put that first fic here, as well as give writing a new story a try.
