The Yank and The Brit is a writing team made up of AmyF (whom you may know as one half of the TwoPhantoms writing team) and JanG. We have been collaborating since the beginning of 2006. Our partnership started because Amy was looking online for a beta and Jan volunteered her services. We found ourselves to be kindred spirits and our partnership soon developed from author and beta to co-authors. We now write for two worlds: Scarecrow & Mrs. King and Janet Evanovich. We write together and separately beta’ing each other’s work. Our name came about because Amy is American and a suburban mom with one boy and Jan is British, a suburban housewife and mum to two teenage boys. Now, years on from our first meeting on line, we are firm friends and still enjoy writing when RL lets us.

Jan now writes and publishes original stories under the pen name 'Jan Gordon.' Her first book, published in 2009, was a novella called Black Silk. It's a light romance with a paranormal twist.

Synopsis for 'Black Silk':

Victoria Hudson is 29 and lives in the kind of small town where everyone knows everyone else. She has two great loves in her life -- her cat, Mister, and reading books from her used bookstore.

She doesn't see her life changing much in the future. She's stuck. Until one night when she's saved from probable danger by a mysterious stranger.
