I'm Emerald, but my real name is Eline. I was born in 1988. I'm Dutch but I write all my stories in English. I'm a English Literature student at the VU Amsterdam.

My hobbies are archery, gaming, drawing, singing, reading, and writing of course. I like Elves, dragons, faeries, angels, vampires, werewolves, horror, and anything else that's got to do with fantasy.

- My favourite bands are Nightwish, Epica, After Forever, Disturbed, Within Temptation and Delain.
Tuomas Holopainen is my one and only idol. I think he's an absolutely brilliant song maker. He's THE absolute musician for me.
- My favourite writers are: Mary Shelley, William Shakespeare, Edgar Allan Poe, J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Daniel Defoe, David and Leigh Eddings, Horace Walpole.
- Favourite books: Frankenstein, Emily Dickinson's poems, The Lord of the Rings, The Children of Hurin, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Castle of Otranto, The Redemption of Althalus, The Dreamers.
- My favourite movies: The Lord of the Rings, The Chronicles of Narnia, Beetlejuice, CATS musical, X-men, X2, X-men the Last Stand, X-men Origins: Wolverine, Pirates of the Caribean, Underworld, Sleepy Hollow, Happy Feet, Ice Age 1&2, Oh yeah, if you don't like Goths, you're at the wrong address here. I'm NOT depressed.
I just like black(you can never wear enough of it)(I'd hate to see the day when they invent a darker colour, would've gotta buy new outfits:P), the Middle Ages/Dark Ages (it's romantic), a certain music style, and we certainly aren't automatically satanists!and don't cut our wrists!
Most of us are very normal people. We just get a bad image because people don't know anything about it, so they rely on prejudices. If you have any questions about Goths, just ask.

Beside the Middle Ages I'm also interested in old cvilisations like the Greeks, Egyptians, Celts and Romans I'm particularly intersted in Greek mythology with all its Gods and creatures such as centaurs and satyrs. That's one of the reasons I'm working on a Narnia story, where all these creatures play a roll in.

About my stories:
I have written a fanfic about the musical CATS which can be read here. (some people complained about the spelling, but that might have something to do with me writing in British English, which is different from American English). I have the bad habit of working on at least five different things simultaneously, so it may take a while before I post something new. I'm trying very hard to finish the Narnia story since it has already taken too long. I have it finished, so I only need to type it out. Could take some time though.

I hope you all enjoy my story and the ones I'm going to post in the future. Have patience with me! I tend to work at more stories at once.
