Summoner Luna

I have been reading and writing fanfiction for close two two decades, although I have only been on ffnet for half that time. At the moment I write pretty much exclusively for Final Fantasy VIII, and don't see that changing anytime soon. In addition to working on fanfiction, I also write original fiction, although that is not published anywhere online (and will never be published anywhere at all if I can't get my act together enough to finish a project!). I read a lot, and am constantly in search of authors whose storytelling and narrative style inspire me, even if I am frequently intimidated by how many amazing authors there are in the world.

I am married (my husband is also a fic writer and novelist--he is on ffnet under the name Victor), and have two very young children which makes finding time to write quite difficult, and finding the mental energy to create even more of challenge. As a result I often update slowly. I'm also an NFP personality type, which means I have a really terrible habit of constantly starting new projects before I've finished an old one. I try to limit this in fic, or at least, if I start something new to keep it to myself, but... I've gotten pretty bad about that over the last few years. I blame the wonderful FFVIII community, since it's a lot harder to keep things to myself when there are so many wonderful people reading and writing fic!

I am slowly working on mirroring my stories at AO3, under the same username as here.

Story Statuses

All of my MC fics are currently on hiatus. I've been struggling with postpartum depression, and it's been affecting the quality of what I write pretty badly. Trying to fight through it is swimming upstream, and it's not something I'm going to force myself to do anymore. Once I get the depression a little more under control, I will resume updates.

Getting asks about my stories is the best feeling ever, so if you have questions and don't feel comfortable with a review/PM, send them over on tumblr!

-I have Pinterest boards for The Successor and Dissolve. Some of the images are just inspiration for me, some are how I picture what's happening in the stories.

-I do not attend cons as frequently as I used to, but still try to make it to at least Dragon Con and Katsucon and/or MAGFest every year--though any of the Delmarva area cons are always a possibility

-Fifteen Minutes Old, The Successor, and Roll Away Your Stone are related, but none of my other works are. (At least, not intentionally)

-irishais and I have a joint account together, le chevalier de la lune.

Ronin-ai has drawn two absolutely gorgeous pieces of art for The Successor, which can be found on her deviantArt page. "Rising Tide," directly from one of the scenes in the story, and "Centra Shore," which is based on a photograph of myself and my daughter that she modified to be a scene of Rinoa and her daughter.
