![]() Author has written 7 stories for Riverdale, and Merlin. Hello, all! The messy back of the tapestry, briefly: I started a Riverdale story because I thought S1 Jughead captured something amazing about the complexity of friendship under difficult circumstances (sorry S2 and S3 Jughead; love to you also). I was also pretty near death a few times in there, so any distraction was helpful. Then my characters absconded into a sequel on me (seriously, guys?? We were done and I was feeling better!) and I just kept writing. I was honestly curious about what they were up to (and now we know!). Since I write a lot of suspense and have dark/violent themes in the majority of my stories, I'm experimenting with some Merlin writing so I can break it up from time to time. If you like 12th century French Arthurian texts and you like the show Merlin, that might be your cup of tea. (is that even a thing, or am I alone? :-D) I love reviews and they inspire me to keep on writing. I often sit in front of a chapter and think "does this make any sense at all to anyone but me??" One of these days the answer will be "Uh, not so much" and ideally someone will tell me that... or just say "I feel _ way about _" and I'll be surprised but suddenly see the story more clearly from readers' eyes. Etc. Thank you to all of the generous people who leave just a few words -- and so many thanks to those who really get into the weeds and make me feel like that one last detail was totally worth the time and effort. I have ridiculous working titles that usually riff on how addicted I am to finding out what my characters will do next. "Pied Piper" led me right into the mountain. We'll see if I ever make it out! |
