Author has written 7 stories for Riverdale, and Merlin.

Hello, all!

The messy back of the tapestry, briefly:

I started a Riverdale story because I thought S1 Jughead captured something amazing about the complexity of friendship under difficult circumstances (sorry S2 and S3 Jughead; love to you also). I was also pretty near death a few times in there, so any distraction was helpful.

Then my characters absconded into a sequel on me (seriously, guys?? We were done and I was feeling better!) and I just kept writing. I was honestly curious about what they were up to (and now we know!).

Since I write a lot of suspense and have dark/violent themes in the majority of my stories, I'm experimenting with some Merlin writing so I can break it up from time to time. If you like 12th century French Arthurian texts and you like the show Merlin, that might be your cup of tea. (is that even a thing, or am I alone? :-D)

I love reviews and they inspire me to keep on writing. I often sit in front of a chapter and think "does this make any sense at all to anyone but me??" One of these days the answer will be "Uh, not so much" and ideally someone will tell me that... or just say "I feel _ way about _" and I'll be surprised but suddenly see the story more clearly from readers' eyes. Etc.

Thank you to all of the generous people who leave just a few words -- and so many thanks to those who really get into the weeds and make me feel like that one last detail was totally worth the time and effort.

I have ridiculous working titles that usually riff on how addicted I am to finding out what my characters will do next. "Pied Piper" led me right into the mountain. We'll see if I ever make it out!

Pay the Piper reviews
Story Six: They thought they'd bought protection... but when family and friends are threatened, Jughead and Brand have to make a high-stakes plan. Fast. Thankfully, they've got an army of allies. Life doesn't slow down, though: dreams are coming true - and the SATs are coming up!

Shifting Territories reviews
This one might stand alone... but it's also Story 5: When all roads lead to an increasingly volatile Southside (for both the teens and adults), FP considers pulling the plug on Jughead's FBI internship - until it seems like the safest place for him. Unfortunately, the heart of undercover work is misdirection. Will they win this deep game? Or will it blow up in their faces?

A Lion Named Jude
Season 1 A/U: Merlin has only been staying with Gaius for six weeks when a letter arrives about another young man: his name is Owen, and he has been living in the forest alone, with a lion as his only companion. This is a Merlin-ification, so if you know the story you'll (hopefully!) see it in new ways. (also: in this fic Gwaine is a more traditional knight of Camelot)

You Can't Hurry Trust reviews
Story four in the series. The fallout from Jughead's impulsive actions has isolated both him and FP from friends and support. As they are forced to navigate a wildly unstable alliance in order to protect themselves from both seen and unseen dangers, the hits just keep on coming. Don't worry, though: sometimes all it takes is one good vacation to get everyone back on track.

Debrief Is A Verb reviews
Story three in the series - Season 1 A/U - Jughead is home! But how does reunification work when FP was never dad of the year? Debriefing had some hiccups? The media is in a feeding frenzy? Lying is complicated, and missteps could mean losing the 'deal' that brought him home. When life happens, sometimes there is no margin for error.

Attempted Witness Protection reviews
Story two: sequel to Beggars Can't Be Choosers (AU): Four months later, Jughead is less hostage than missing person. Things are cooling off for some - while others are fighting to keep hope alive. With Brand running things in one city, a candle still burning in Riverdale (and on the modern equivalent of milk cartons, far and wide), and one OC go-between... Criminal life beckons.

Beggars Can't Be Choosers reviews
Story one: Season One A/U: After homecoming, the teens do not learn that FP is confessing under duress - and Blossom arranges a "legal" guardian to hold Jughead hostage throughout the trial. However, when there are not a lot of good options, being held hostage might be such a lateral move that nobody notices that is what's going on for some time...
