A little about me...

I'm a college student majoring in secondary education.

I love math.

I also love lizards. The leopard gecko in my profile pic is my little friend, Toothless, named after the little green dragon in the ORIGINAL "How to Train Your Dragon" stories. My back up plan to circumvent loneliness if I don't have the opportunity to have a family is to become the reptile version of the stereotypical crazy old cat lady. Snakes, geckos, bearded dragons, chameleons, perhaps some frogs (even though they're not reptiles), you name it - they'll all be there. Next on my list is whichever kind of snake I can inform, and I'll name it Sage (if female) or Salazar (if male).

I am female.

My pen name was originally going to be "bladeofthebokoblins," because I have a little (weird?) obsession with the bokoblins in Breath of the Wild. Seriously - they're so much fun to watch!

Ren (Guest): I'm happy to hear it!! :D I can honestly say that I've really put my heart and soul into it. I LOVE writing, and this has been such a fun story to do! And that's so cool that you're getting to play the game now!! I agree; I didn't like Zelda a lot the first time I played through the game; it's only now that I've done it a bit more and written her character a bit that I'm starting to really appreciate her and the struggles she's faced.

Good thoughts! I haven't entirely decided myself, I think; I might end up just keeping it vague, depending on whether or not I choose to do another story I have in mind. As for those unfortunate occurrences, I'm doing my best to ignore them - and getting better, I think! :D

I honestly can't believe it at times! This is seriously the longest thing I've ever written, and I'm still having lots of fun with it! I'm writing chapter 63 right now, so I've been able to increase my chapter buffer a bit and hopefully next week I can increase it even more; I need to have at least a 16 chapter buffer so that I can keep up with the weekly posting schedule. If I don't get there in the next week and a half before school starts, I *might* change to an every-other-week schedule, but hopefully that won't be necessary! I'll certainly do my best!! ( :

Me too! Groose was such a fun character in that game; he really made me laugh, and yet it was surprising how many emotional scenes he was a part of. Wind Waker was the first Zelda game I played, but it would be fun to try Twilight Princess sometime! And, my goodness, writing a sequel would be fun, I think! At the moment there are a few external factors that will determine that, or at least how soon it happens, but we'll see. Thank you so much!! I'll do my best! (And it's all good, haha!)

An explanation for my decision to delete and re-upload Rifts Between Us and to delete reviews matching the writing style of a certain guest reviewer:

Since January 12th, a guest reviewer has been posting an incredible amount of comments to my story. Although some of their comments pointed out actual flaws in the story, others were based entirely on their opinions of what I should be doing with the story (how I should define realism, how I should portray characters, what they believed characters would end up doing, and so on). When they had an issue with something I changed on purpose, I explained to them my reasoning behind making that decision; I spent several hours drafting each of these replies and had a friend look over them as well to ensure I was civil and respectful. In response, they often simply restated their grievances and claimed I was making excuses. They would also post reviews containing similar comments under different names, trying to make it sound as if there were multiple different people agreeing with them. This, I believe, is a rather underhanded and dishonest tactic. Additionally, this guest reviewer’s tone often came across as rather scornful and impolite, sounding as if they were making fun of what I had written. They still claimed, however, that they were providing constructive criticism and that they had done nothing wrong.

Because I felt that they were crossing a line, I deleted their reviews; when they continued, I deleted and reposted the story itself in the hopes of escaping them. At that time, I was unaware that there was a way to delete guest reviews after the 36-hour moderation window had passed, so deleting the story was the only way I knew of to get rid of this one person's past statements. It was nonetheless a decision that truly pained me; I honestly appreciated all of the support and feedback posted by the many other people who had left civil and encouraging comments on this story, or who shared how the story had impacted them in some way. I never delete the email notifications for reviews on the story; I sincerely treasure all of the other feedback I've received, and I'd like to officially apologize to everyone who left their well-thought-out, constructive, and encouraging comments on the story before I deleted it.

The guest reviewer who drove me to such measures is, however, continuing to post reviews, which I am still deleting. Some of what they have posted did admittedly contain actual helpful feedback that some other reviewers also pointed out; however, I am still deleting any reviews that match this reviewer’s tone and style in the hopes that they will eventually give up and leave me alone. If for whatever reason they want to continue to read the story, I would respectfully ask that they keep their thoughts to themself. They claim to be unable to trust me, but I am likewise unable to trust them to be polite. They have consistently written things that have nothing to do with the story itself, twist the characters in ways that greatly offend me, or make excessive use of scornful language, and I refuse to tolerate that any longer.

As I mentioned earlier, I’ve kept every email notification I received from FanFiction.net about a review getting posted to my story; in light of the guest’s threat to report me, I created a GoogleDoc with every review they’ve ever posted on my story, copy-pasted directly from those notification emails, to use as justification if they follow through with their threat. The document is now 30 pages long, and is available upon request through DocX. My responses to them are also available upon request so that it can be determined whether or not I have truly mistreated them. Here, I’ve provided selections from their reviews that I feel most accurately represent why I delete their comments.

Mocking, Sarcastic Tone

Zelda begins to realize that link in Sense is Brainwashed Due To Growing Up believing He is Tool/Weapon of Hyrule.. this type of Reckless devotion is why Mipha Always Have To Heal Link and reprimand him in private for being Reckless.

4/15 I have a theory that the next chapter link dies saving Zelda from the yiga clan... we have to be realistic here.

Because This Story Is Different. I feel this would be the best opportunity for a link to meet his demise Saving Zelda From The Yiga Clan.. . Normally he has no problem figjting them off.. But With his injuries, being weakend physically, Mentally and spiritually and Worried and protecting Zelda.. Link Will Likely Meet End not from Yiga Killing him.. but from sheer exhaustion and Blood loss from Saving Zelda..Then You Have More Yiga Clan Arrive and Zelda Powers Activate To Kill and Scare Them Off.. The Loyal Shiekah Clan Arrives To Bring him to the Resurrection Chamber..

Or you can change and/or expand that and have Link and Zelda travel back only For The Calamity Ganon

This user has successfully prevented themselves from getting reported, since they are a guest reviewer. However, this also makes it impossible to prove that they really are the same person. Nonetheless, upon examining their punctuation, format, and voice, it's clear to me that they're the same, and I've heard many of you express similar opinions. There is also a pattern to how they name themselves (if they do choose to give themselves a name). Their pseudonym almost always relates in some way to what they're commenting on, rather than giving themselves an identity. There is also the fact that they give themselves different names when they're clearly the same person, such as when they name themselves "Part 1" and "Part 2." Additionally, after naming themselves "Getwhatudeserve" in one review, they didn't give themselves a name in their next two reviews clarifying something they had written in their previous comments, describing it as "My review," making statements such as "I made some errors." Because of their deception and inconsistency, the logical thing for me to do is to assume that any reviews matching their unique writing style come from that user.

How I identify them:

Inappropriate capitalization, use of [..] instead of [...] or [.] and general incorrect punctuation, frequent typos, inconsistent grammar, usernames that describe their review instead of giving themselves an identity, occasionally posting links to other sites (which are blocked by FFN)
