Author has written 13 stories for Twilight, and Labyrinth. December 8, 2017 I am looking for at least one beta reader for a Pride & Prejudice variation I just wrote. If you would be interested, please send me a private email and let me know of your interest. Also, check out my two websites listed in the December 2016 posting. I would love to see visitors and hear responses. December 11, 2016 It is obvious that linking to my websites does not work, so if you are interested in the sites, please send me a PM, and I will send you the link to either or both. Just let me know which on you are interested in. I don't know why they provide a link when it does not work, but so are the powers that be at this site. Even leaving out dots, colons, and backslashes does not seem to work because I tried both. I will try this, the site for my fan fiction stories is at weebly followed by a dot and then com, it begins with midnight4walking followed with a dot. There are not spaces between any of it. Just to see if this will work, the two websites are http(colon)(backslash)(backslash)midnight4walking(dot)weebly(dot)com for the fanfiction stories and http(colon)(backslash)(backslash)deborahannkauer(dot)weebly(dot)com. I'm going to see if this will show up when my profile refreshes. July 26, 2016 I now have a website for anyone who wants to follow it. In fact, I have two. One is a website where I will be posting all of my stories from fanfiction including the two Labyrinth stories that I pulled a few years ago. The website can be accessed here (link not working). I have started to post 'Birth of a King' on this site, and will also be posting Seduced to the site as well. I have had a few comments about both stories and where they can be found, and this will be the place to look for both of them. The second website, found here (link not working), has a sample of a book that I am now selling on Amazon. It is a Pride and Prejudice variation. I am aware of the current problems with the book, and it is currently being edited by two ladies who were extremely helpful as beta readers for me while I was posting stories here. I will be updating the book as soon as I receive all the editing back, and when I resubmit the book, it will be labeled Second Edition just so everyone will know this is the corrected version. This will also be the site for any other books that I write and sell on Amazon. Currently, I have three others that I am beginning and two regency romance stories that are not Pride and Prejudice variations. Both websites will have a contact page for anyone who wished to contact me, and I can always be PM-ed from this site as well. June 17, 2012 I have become a reader of late, although I am still working on the follow-up to 'The Birth of a King' story; it is just taking longer than I thought. My new interest is "Pride and Prejudice" and I'm setting up some story options along that story line. I have read a number of the what if variations, and other variations as well. My number one pet peeve lately is orphaned stories, of which there are just too many. My new policy is that I will not read a story unless it is marked completed. I really dislike it when I'm really into a story and then it just ends, and worst yet is when I notice that the last posting was in 2011. I'm not sure why anyone wants to orphan a story unless it is just that they do not have any idea where to go with the story from that point on. How sad. I may end up moving two stories from my posting due to the new ratings - I tried to give them the MA rating, but that rating is not available. I would rather pull them than be banned from the site. I hope we are notified if we need to pull a story before they just outright ban an author. If I have to pull them, I will note where they went to when I find a place to put them. Well, that is my update for now. Happy reading. MidnightWalking May 22 (Revised 10/29/2008) My philosophy about life: 1- Age is subjective rather than objective, and your mind really rules your body. 2 – What is life if it is all work and no play, where is the fun in that. I don't usually join sites, but I have always been interested in writing and I absolutely fell in love with Stephenie Meyer's Twilight (I have read it 8 times) and then found this site with a vast variety of fan spin-offs, so I decided I would join. My greatest weakness is playing. I love to play - on my computer, board games, and cards games. My favorite computer games vary because I can lose interest in a game if it seems too repetitive; now I get most of my games from Game House so I can change then often through the use of Fun Play. I also enjoy Suduko and logic problems. My greatest strength is reading - I love to read. My favorite books are the The House of Night series, The City of Bones series (I think they are really called the Mortal Instruments series), Harry Potter series, the Charlie Bones series, the Series of Unfortunate Events series, all the plays of Shakespeare - which I fell in love with when I was in 11th grade - I like cozy mysteries like 'The Cat Who' and 'Aunt Dimity,' but have put them aside in favor of vampire stories with my two favorite authors being Amelia Atwater-Rhodes (who has not written any new vampire books lately) and Stephenie Meyer and Fantasy stories with faeries in them - Holly Black is currently on top there, but I have read a lot of the Teen Top Ten for 2008 and there were a number of fun and interesting fantasy books on that list. I was really enjoying the Cirque de Freak books until I finally went online and bought the last two books in the series, and then I was disappointed in the ending. But I did find on fanfiction a way to change that. I can now write my own ending and post it here to share with anyone who is interested. I find I enjoy young adult literature more than most current adult literature because of the overuse of offensive language and violence, and many times the plots and themes found in young adult literature are richer and fresher. In addition, I like to keep current so I can share with my students what is new and what is worth reading. My other hobby, besides my computer, is family genealogy. I really enjoy reading old newspapers that tell what past family members were up to while they were young, and I started to collect old stories from my grandmothers before they both died. I wish I had been more interested when I was younger and had collected the stories my grandfathers used to tell about logging when they were younger, but now it is too late. |
