A moment alone, Gill reflects.

Rachel Bailey is bored. She has worked hard to attain her position as a copper, sacrificed friends, family, other opportunities...and now she is being dragged down by the politics in the police. After a particularly stressful case, Rachel is debating whether she should leave, and her mind conjures up old friends long since gone.

"You've got stars in your eyes so, let's paint the sky" - Hold On by Extreme Music Snowy weather, closed roads, and migraines do not bode well when Rachel Bailey is trying to avoid the anniversary of the day her mother left. Emotions are high and she's feeling quite vulnerable. Who else but Janet to give support Rachel? Set during series two before Dominic attacks Savage.

Nick Savage has gotten his revenge on DC Rachel Bailey, Rachel is now scarred for life and shows emotions that she's never shown many people before. Contains: Mentions of rape please don't read if you're not able to handle these topics.

Rachel is ripped to pieces verbally by her mother in the pub as Rachel has after work drinks but who's there to comfort her when her mother's cruel words become more than just words?

Rachel Bailey's wedding day was bad timing all round. Sadly however so is Mother Nature. When Rachel is caught off guard at her wedding reception she ends up sharing a bed with Janet instead of Sean and ends up emotionally exhausted. All Bad Timings right?

Rachel learns that some cases will always get to you more than others, and it's ok to have a personal motive for trying to find the culprit. Overall it will give you passion and make you a better copper. However, it's how you deal with this experience that determines how successful you are. AKA Rachel is tired and there is fluff. After season 5. Gill's left. Julie's left. Now it's Janet's time to leave, but is she truly ready to completely give up what she has done all her life?

AU Where things took a very different turn for Rachel and her family following a tragedy, forcing Rachel to see and believe the police cannot be trusted. Becoming a vigilante she finds justice does exist.

Rachel never PNCed Nick's car, married Sean, cheated, got thrown out by Janet, caught by Taisie. This is a Gill and Rachel fic. It depicts the even of season 3 finale and goes a little beyond as well. There will be another chapter. Rated T for swearing and trigger warning for mentions of abusive childhood.

In the last year Rachel Bailey has been promoted to DI and become a mother. Follow her as she attempts to maintain her job while juggling a family & relationship.
