Will is devastated when the woman he loves is killed in an ambush, but as grief stricken as he is he is placing the blame for her death on Much.

The outlaws are lost and come upon a strange deserted village. Little do they know they will soon be in grave danger as an evil presence lurks among them.

Since Marion returned again to the forest, Robert has not spoken of their previous betrothal. Marion finally feels ready to talk of it, of who they'd been and how they might proceed.

Guy of Gisburne's cruelty and rages are palpably the actions of a broken and deeply unhappy man. Imagine circumstances under which he could delve into the abyss of his own heart and seek healing. Is Guy saveable? Somebody is trying to find out.

Much isn't slow, he just thinks about things differently. He thinks about Marion and Robin and Herne and the God that Tuck worships. He thinks about a lot of different things after Robin's death.

Set during "The greatest enemy". Much's POV from the flight from the Tor until he realises that Robin won't come back.
