AU inspired by Jane Austen's Persuasion. Ruth left after the Albany affair, and now, four years later, her path will cross with Harry's once again.

AU. Major Harry Pearce meets a young woman named Ruth. Their lives together will change them both, but for Ruth, the journey will utterly transform her into someone she never dreamed she could be. But with Harry by her side to support and encourage her, she can become all she was born to be.

Current events conspire to affect the team. Can Harry keep his friends and family safe? An unknown pathogen sweeping the world separates the team but Section D still have work to do. Terrorists don't seem to be adhering to the Lockdown - meaning somehow Harry and his team have to keep going when the rest of the world have been ordered to stop

This assumes that Tom sent Ruth back to GCHQ when she spied for them. Several years later, armed with Intel that she can only pass on to Harry in person, she arrives on Malcolm's doorstep unannounced. Not without dangers, that eventually put both hers and Harry's lives at risk.

A sequel to 'For Being a Little Bad'. Three months later Harry and Ruth are not on good terms. When they are forced to work together off Grid. Tired of their constant bickering the team decide it is time they took a hand in resolving matters.

This is another one shot, set several months after Ruth's return from Cyprus. Chiefly dialogue-driven, and featuring Harry and Ruth, and a brief appearance by Ros Myers - because Ros can say things which other characters never dare say. Rated T for some swearing.

This is a one shot (definitely!) set in S9, 6 weeks after the death of Ros Myers. It appears she left something behind, something which provides a catalyst for Ruth and Harry to move closer.

Post 5x05. Harry taking care of Ruth's cats after she left, and how this makes him miss her even more. Drabble. Just the tiniest bit of angst.

Second chances are rare. The first time around, Harry ignored all his rules and let Ruth Evershed into his life, only to lose her to outside forces. When she returns, Harry vows that things will be different but only if can learn from the past.

A soft post 9.8 one shot. Ruth is on Harry's doorstep.

There was something else that happened in Baghdad

So I had to put aside the one shot I had already written to post at this time, as this other story kind of barged its way in. I have included one of my own favourite OCs from some other fic I wrote (and I have no idea which fic that was) simply because I liked this OC as a person. It's set at this time in history, assuming our favourite couple made it to 2020. I hope you enjoy.

Set in no particular series and with no bearing on what was, Ruth's on the grid and Harry isn't. That he happens to be on his honeymoon on his own, is down to a misunderstanding. Who better to give them a prod than Ros and Tariq.

Another one shot, and another one set in S10, with a twist to canon, just to once again avert the inevitable disaster which emerged (inevitably) during the final series. I wanted to write something chiefly dialogue driven, and which takes place over a short space of time. While he only makes a brief appearance, Tariq's involvement in this story is key.

Harry must race against the clock to make a harrowing rescue. Inspired by "I Bet My Life" by Imagine Dragons.

He's only human, after all. Lucas and Ruth have a shared understanding. Set after 8.2

This one shot is set during S5, where Cotterdam doesn't, and never will exist. I like to think of this story as being a story about Jo, and all the other characters involved are just along for the ride. Rated T for some colourful language.

Set in serie 10, I wasn't happy with the end and couldn't accept that Harry and Ruth wouldn't be together. This is also a rewriting of the story I published a year ago. Starts dark and sad but keep on reading and you'll get fluffy, corny and ... sexy. Hope you enjoy.

Using Series 10 spoilers. Although Harry has successfully returned to the grid, life is not any easier. It seems his life is on the line once again, but this seems to put Ruth in even more danger.
