This story is set a few years after the events in Jesse Hawks. The High Mountain Rangers have been the victim of budget cuts. Robin and her brother purchase the station and the land with plans in mind.

An outing for Matt and Cody takes an unexpected detour.

Aaron Bass has always shown animosity to Matt Hawkes and his Rangers. When Matt reluctantly agrees to join his dad and Cody for the weekend at Aaron's cabin, will things change?
