Continuation from the finale of Emerald City, Season One. Lucas arrives in Kansas to bring Dorothy back to Oz to help fight the Beast Forever, but first he'll have to get her to trust him. Cross-posted on AO3 (as author name AskMeNoQuestion)

Dorothy may be done with Oz, but Oz isn't finished with her...

What if Dorothy was born a witch in the land of Oz to Mother South and sent to the "New World" to be raised from the Beast; to keep her safe in the "New World" Mother South Sealed Dorothy's Magical Abilities for her to be Safe. When Dorothy returns to the land of Oz her mother, Mother South told her a war is coming.

After The Beast Forever is taken down for good, West, with a sense of longing, quests to find her mother. It would not be as easy an adventure as expected...

He has no right to ask anything of her, but he must somehow convince her to return with him to Oz. Can he find the words that will make her trust him in time? A Dorothy x Lucas/Roan one-shot. Contains spoilers for the season 1 finale.
