Even after Steve's death, Judy's guilt about the hit and run is overwhelming and she doesn't deserve Jen's comfort. She gets it anyway.

Through the closed door, Jen could hear Judy cry. She imagined how her face must be screwed up in pain, pain that she obviously had been trying to hide from Jen, and how her tiny body must be shaking, and how she was probably curled up into a ball on the bed at this point. Jen turned on the shower to cover the sound of her own sobs.

Jen and Judy have spent the last year trying to overcome the struggles they have been through. Judy suggests a weekend vacation and Jen drunkenly agrees. There is a lot in their relationship they still need to unpack, including feelings for each other. Will the trip allow them to open up?

She couldn't bring herself to do it. Rage had made Jen do some pretty crazy things in the past, including smashing the car of a speeding asshole with a golf club she had in the trunk of her car. But this, she couldn't do.
