Mkay, I probably won't be around AS much anymore... With all this stuff in my life recently and all. Hit a little bump in the path, bit depressed, but I'm sure I'll be back on track soon. Prince, Rium, you two seem to have a good grasp on what you're doing. Go for it.

Kim ran for the Professor's lab hurriedly. He resided in Azelea town. It was about a 3 hour car ride away and the Orphanage had given her enough money for a cab ride there. Now she was heading for the Lab having finished that cab ride. She was very eager to start her pokemon journey. Once she made it to the lab she stood at the entrance for a minute to catch her breath. Once she was ready she walked in. A smile on her face. This professor charged a lot for his pokemon so to get one for free was awesome. As she entered she looked around. "Hello?" She called. There was no answer.

She did a bit of exploring hoping to find someone. However her search was short lived. Seeming out of no where sleep powder surrounded her. She was Asleep before she could do anything.

Fai glanced at the double-glass doors curiously. Looks studious enough, he thought to himself. He leaned against the glass, peering into the room for any signs of life. However, the darkness surrounding the room made it difficult for him to see anything. He shrugged. It made sense, considering how it was light outside and dark inside. If anything, anybody inside would see him embarrassingly viewing the room. The thought of it made Fai blush.

He took several deep breaths before pushing the door open. His shoes echoed throughout the empty room. Fai strained his ears to hear something, his eyes to see something. The boy could not feel any presence in the room at al-.

Behind him! He whirled around, only to have a dust cloud of sleep powder flung to his face. He instinctively coughed, discovering in fear that he was actually breathing in more of the tainted chemical. Losing conscious quickly, Fai fell to the ground, fast asleep.

Austin walked into the building from the back door. "Hey proffesor! I'm here for t-" He became quiet as he blinked, suddenly ahving his vision blurry as he stumbled dizzily.

"Proffesor... I'm being attacked! H-" Austin too, fell to the ground his face covered in sleep powder.

Max wandered into the lab, the doors closing quite ominously behind him. There was complete silence, not a soul in sight. Where was everybody? He figured there would be people lining up around the block for a starter pokémon. He at least thought there would be a research assistant or someone running around.

"Hello?" He shouted. "Is anyone there?" With no response, he turned to leave. But just then, a puff of weird powder blew into his face. Not recognizing it as sleep powder, he breathed it in. In smelled sweet and relaxing. Almost enough to make you want to sleep…

He slowly lowered himself to the ground and fell asleep. What was the harm of a little nap anyways?

(I'll go ahead and move this along now.)

Soon the people who had been put to sleep would find themselves waking up inside strange glass chambers. They where pokemon resistant so there was no way they could escape.

Kim was one of the first to wake up. "Huh?.... What the? Hey! whats going on! Lets me out! She yelled as she started banging on the glass.

Max managed to wake up next. As he slowly opened his eyes, he realized this was not his bedroom. With a start, he was fully awake and started to call out for help. "Hey! Someone there? I'm kinda stuck in a glass prison here!"

He finally noticed the other teens in similar situations. But most of them were asleep. Except for a girl who looked about his age. "Hey! Do you have any idea what's going on?" He shouted to her.

Austin was third to wake up, his vision clear now. He blinked some before turning his head around not bothering to his the glass. "Its useless to try to get out of here...whatever is keeping us will have smarts. not everyone puts a trap on their back door."

Max quieted down and started to think. Was this a test to see if they were good enough to get a starter?If it was, this was one weird test. None of this made any sense.

"You would be correct my friend. Would you all like to know why your here?" Professor Edwin asked entering the room.

Kim looked at the man. She shut up not wanting to anger him.

"I'll use this little lady first." He said pressing a few buttons on a console. Trainers requested the pokemon they wanted before coming in. This allowed him to have them ready before they got here. A stranger machine moved over Kim's tube.

"Hey what ever your doing please don't! Just let me go! I won't say anything!" Kim said looking for a way out as a thick green gas suddenly filled the chamber. It clouded everything up blocking everyone's view from what was happening. They could hear Kim screaming in pain. Her voice seemed to be changing as it happened. Once done the screaming died down. Its took a minute for the smoke to die down. Once it did all that could be see where the girl's clothing and her bag.

Max stared in fear and horror at what was happening. Why was a professor doing this? And what was 'this' exactly? All he understood was that girl disappeared in a blast of green smoke. Did he kill her?

"D-did you just vaporize her?" Max shouted in fear. "Let me out of here!" He started banging on the glass furiously, but it wouldn't budge. He was done for.

Austin blinked a few times before swearing. "Vaporizing is almost instant... andwhy did it sound like her voice was different... do another one. i need to know what it sounds like if ill try to find out what it is." He slightly smiled. "Carry on sir."

"Are you kidding?" Max shouted at the boy who had spoken. "You want him to kill someone else?" Although he made a good point about the voice thing, Max was in no state to consider it. This had to be the worst day of his life!

"Before I move on why don't you take a closer look at her capsule. You may like what you see." The Professor said smirking.

Kim had laid there for a minute letting the pain die down. It hurt a lot. She had no idea what was going on. She knew something was shot into her tube. Looking around she saw her... Clothes? She started squirming to get out. After a few seconds she managed to escape only to find her tube had grown huge! But that couldn't be right... She looked at herself and yelped in surprise. She was a pokemon! "H-Hey whats going on!" She asked worriedly. None of the humans would understand her. To everyone else she was saying Axew.

As the green lizard managed to escape the clothes the Professor looked at the other humans. "Okay who's next?" He asked.

Austin looked at Kim before blinking. "Besides the fact that sounds so awesome..." He looked at her and shook his head.

"Sorry cant understand you,"Austin crossed his arms.

"You can hit me whenever. not like you care if were not ready."

She turned into an… Axew? Although less horrifying than death, being turned into a pokemon seemed pretty distressing. Not to mention it sounded so painful. Max could tell she was trying to say something, but he could only hear her saying "Axew" over and over again.

"I'd rather not be transformed," Max answered." If that's okay with you, I mean." he quickly added. It was worth a shot, but he knew there was no escaping this.

"I think we will go for our friend who's just joining us." The professor said pushing a few more buttons. The machine went over Ashley's tube. "Anything you wanna say?" He asked her. Before a single word could be spoken a jet black gas shot into her tube.

"What the?... Oh no! Don't!" Kim begged. This wasn't happening. Why where they being turned. She then realized the nasty truth. "Your fiend! How could you!" She yelled. She had yet to realize no one could understand her.

Austin looked at Kim boredly. "WE CANT UNDERSTAND YOU SO SHUSH! it does no good to go ranting at people and yourself for being dumb enough to believe him"

Max spoke before he could stop himself. "Sheesh. Why not just turn all of us at once. I don't need the suspense." He clapped his hand over his mouth as soon as the words came out. Why did he just say that?

"I would love to do that. But you see I need different pokemon. You don't wanna know what happens when you mix gasses. Its not pretty." The Professor said as the machine moved to Max's Tube. A dark blue gas filled the tube.

"I'll join you!" Kim said scratching at the glass. It did nothing.

Max began to freak out as his tube was filled with the gas. He didn't want to be a pokemon! But then again, it would be kind of fun…

His thoughts were interrupted as his skin started to burn like it was on fire. Nothing could have prepared him for this kind of pain. It was like his skin was melting and reforming all at the same time!

When the pain finally stopped, Max pulled himself out of his now giant clothes. His back felt heavy, like something was on it. He managed to turn his head far enough to see a large shell on his back! He was a Squirtle! Admittedly, he'd always liked the Tiny Turtle pokémon, but not enough to be one!

But he was quickly beginning to accept the idea.

"Hello there!" A boy knocked on the glass next to Max, looking rather young. Young and obviously happy. He continued knocking on the glass, with a grin on his face, as if he doesn't even know the mortal situation he is currently in right now. "Um, do you mind doing me next? Cause if you don't make me a cool Pokemon like them, I will bang on this glass harder, so help me, and make sure that your ears falls off!"

Nico then proceeded to laugh his butt off inside of the tube he's in, leaning against the tube itself while sliding to the floor. "Oh, man that's hilarious, but seriously, me next. ME NEXT! ME NEXT!"

Angela, however, wasn't excited about it. Oh no, she wasn't excited about any of it. In fact, she was downright scared, as well as mildly angry. "Why are you doing this to us! I thought you were gonna give us Pokemon!"

"What a strange boy. Do shut up now." Edwin said as a green gas filled the boy's chamber. Grass type transformations where the most painful.

Kim looked around. "So what... We get sold as pokemon... I don't like this at all." She said a bit scared.
