okay, the following is based off of the manga/anime Deadman Wonderland. Many things will be similar to what is actually canon with that anime. Some things will be canon.

Deadmon Wonderland

Everywhere in the world, there are people who exhibit special abilities called "the branch of sin." These people, are known as Deadmons. Typically, they go mad with power and use their Branches of Sin to commit crimes of terrible proportions. Once caught, they are sentenced to death and sent to a place called Deadmon Wonderland. Deadmon Wonderland is an amusement park that doubles as a privately owned prison. Some of the workers are actually prisoners that work to obtain Cast Points, the currency that is exclusive to DW.

Going back to the Deadmons, they are people, however, they are not fully human. They are Part-human and Part-Pokémon. The power of the Deadmon comes from their Pokémon DNA. The power that they hold all depends on which Pokémon's DNA that they have. For example, a person who had Pikachu or Manectric or Luxio DNA may have the ability to send their blood out in the form of a lightning bolt that could shock their opponents while a someone with a Fire-Type's DNA could possibly form a ball of blood that would explode and burn their opponent when it comes into contact with them. It just all depends on what DNA that they have. The Pokémon DNA doesn't just give them the powers of the Deadmon, but it also gives them the partial appearance of the Pokémon, such as the horns of a Bouffalant, the hooves of a Ponyta or the tail of a Charizard.

It should be noted however, that not all of those who have Pokémon DNA are Deadmons, though they are usually treated as such and are feared. And also, not all of those who are in fact Deadmons are guilty of terrible crimes. Some are framed for acts that they had nothing to do with just because they happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Now, in the prison, every inmate wears a collar that allows the tracking of their movements. The collar also injects a particular poison into their veins. It even affects those who are part Poison-Type. The only antidote to the poison is a specialized candy that must be eaten once every three days. If it is not eaten in that three day time period, then that person dies immediately. Candy is awarded by winning certain activities in the prison, but it can also be bought with the Cast Points that are earned through the work that goes on as DW is always building more attractions.

Cast Points, as it was mentioned earlier, is the specialized currency that is only accepted in Deadmon Wonderland. It is earned by doing different jobs around the prison. i.e. construction. It is also won through different attractions which can include, but not be limited to: obstacle courses, arena-style fights, tournaments, and entertaining. It is used to purchase Candy as mentioned above, but it is also used to purchase food, clothing, and other necessities for life. Prisoners can even purchase time off their sentences should they accumulate enough CP.

Deadmons accumulate their CP through an attraction called Carnival Corpse. Carnival Corpse is an attraction where two Deadmons fight until one surrenders or is declared unable to fight. It takes place in a specialized arena that is in front of large numbers of anonymous benefactors. Each Deadmon is given a codename to keep themselves anonymous from the other Deadmons, despite the fact that they usually end up knowing eachother beforehand. The winner is given a large amount of CP as well as some Candy, while the loser was to go through a penalty game where they lose a part of themselves in order to be studied by different professors to find out how Deadmons came to be and how they have these abilities while some part-humans do not.

Before the Carnival Corpse begins, each Deadmon meets with a Trainer, known to Deadmons as Noosemen. The Trainers are supposed to help prepare each Deadmon for the Carnival Corpse a full three days before the actual event. Trainers rotate Deadmons every three Carvinal Corpses to give everyone a fair chance. Though as with everything, there are Trainers who are bought off by other Trainers or benefactors to throw matches. Hence the reason for the name "Noosemen" as Trainers typically lead Deadmon to their defeat or death and they never return the same, unless the Deadmon in question is completely insane.

With this information in hand, how will you live in the world of Deadmon Wonderland?

Alrigt, random idea but it's fun. Basically, there is an island, where you are not allowed to catch any Pokemon and they are guarded underneath national law. However, due to the sometimes rarer colorations of the Pokemon (Ralts line being darker green with a few faint stripes, for example), it's frequent for Pokemon Poaching. In the RP, there are four options: Pokemon, Poacher, Scientist and Guardian. The Pokemon are more lax of the three groups, spending time foraging and hunting for food. Poachers hunt the Pokemon, but also are on the run from the Guardians. Scientists are able to communicate with Pokemon due to a translator, and so they are supposed to study groups of them. Guardians protect Pokemon from Poachers, but don't do much else. They also guard Scientists, but that's a completely different story. --- on the island, there are a group of FIVE LEGENDARIES OF EACH SPECIES, and they are the ones that the Poachers frequently go after if seen. Other than that, they guard Pokemon from all humans. The Legendaries are typically different shades than each other and live in groups of species, so all Enteis live together and all Arcei live together. Other than that, it's mostly free for all.

*clears throat*

Alright, here's the situation.

The land known as Cyin is taken over by a being known only as Swarm. Swarm has never shown its face, and only refers to itself in the third person as to not tell others of its gender. Swarm killed the previous ruler of Cyin, a Pyroar by the name of Atran and took over the throne. After Swarm killed Atran, a group of pokemon rebels gathered together to stop the advance of Swarm and restore peace to the land. The pokemon, a Lucario, Gallade, and a Zoroark all lead different city-states. However, Swarm quickly heard of the rebellion and sent his personal guards to crush it. When they arrived at the supposed locations, all they found were desolate wastelands.

You, as either a pokemon or a human, must find the hidden city-states that are guarded by the leaders. After managing to find one of them, you can either fight for Swarm and help take over the region, or try and join the rebels and stop the tyrannical rule of Swarm in its tracks. Either way, it will be a blood bath at the end. So, a moral dilemma. Fight for the winning side (Swarm) or fight for the good (Rebels).

Though this idea seems rather interesting, it'd be hard to work out in RP format. We tried to have an "All Powerful Being" character in the Virus role play but sadly it didn't really work out as you couldn't fight it due to it being a, well, being.

In a story, the being can be taken down by a magical object or something that doesn't physically hurt it. In a role play, however, multiple people are going to try and be the hero of the story, meaning that you can't be too subtle with the villain.

So yeah, while this idea is pretty interesting, it'd be better in story format rather than a role play.

Look at the name of the thread. Story-planning.

Though it says "Story Planning" the purpose is more for RPs than anything. RP suggestions or plot things for the current RPs. Or even missions for the MD RP.

Very true, the story planning thread actually spans mainly for plotting for most, if not all of the Roleplays.

Though, guys, for actual story purposes, it's fine to plan for a story here too. Everyone's up for opinions and things. Knock yourself out.

Bored with nothing to do, and I don't feel like studying so..

The Mad Moon

Cresselia, the Lunar Pokemon is most famous for being the opposing being to Darkrai, the Pitch-Black Pokemon. However, what if they were really star-crossed lovers..?

Cresselia and Darkrai, also known as the Lunar duo share a forbidden love. While Darkrai is doomed to be forever labeled as an evil Pokemon that brings nightmares to all, Cresselia is hailed as a savior, a creature of beauty and kindness. The truth is, both of them are equally good Pokemon, and although Darkrai does not wish to harm anybody, its power is mostly uncontrollable. Thus, it constantly roams the world, surviving off nightmares and fleeing the moment it is discovered. Meanwhile, the gentle Cresselia follows closely to dispel the effects Darkrai causes.

Despite their love for each other, they are unable to be together for Cresselia's sake.

"But I do not care what they say! For you will be by my side, beloved Darkrai.."

"Sweet Cresselia, when they find you with me, they will hunt you and kill you as well. For your sake and mine, we must stay apart."

Despite Darkrai's words, Cresselia longed for the opportunity to spend time with Darkrai in peace. That opportunity came when they discovered Jirachi. Jirachi, the wish-granting Pokemon only awoke for seven days every millennium. They found it fleeing from greedy trainers one day, and with a thought, every one of them fell by Darkrai's powers. Jirachi was extremely grateful, and when it listened to the pair's story, it came up with a suggestion.

"To change the perception of humans towards Darkrai would mean removing a part of them without permission. But I can still help you! Seek me out every thousand years, and wish for a place where you can meet in private. For the seven days I am awake, you can be together freely."

"Will you really do that for us? My heart rejoices to hear your wonderful words!"

"In return, I vow to protect you from all that seek to misuse your powers with my nightmares. At long last, my abilities can be used for good.."

"Where should we go?"

"Take us..to the dark side of the moon."

And so began their tradition of meeting face to face every thousand years where Jirachi slept. Upon awakening, they would wish for the path to the Lunar's Shadow, a location on the moon where they would not be seen. However, disaster struck just before their fourth meeting..

One day before Jirachi awakened, Cresselia stopped by the town where Darkrai was last sighted. The people were celebrating and dancing, and Cresselia was informed of the happy news.

Darkrai was dead. Hunted down and trapped, it was forced to battle successive trainers until it fell from exhaustion. It was swiftly vanquished after that.

Mad with grief, Cresselia took off without thinking. She bumped into a trainer who attempted to capture her. This was not uncommon, as she would encounter the occasional trainer that would excitedly try to capture the legendary Pokemon. However, this time she retaliated in a blind rage. Sending the trainer and his Pokemon flying, she flew away, consumed with guilt, sadness and anger. She sought out Jirachi, and when it awakened, she rashly made a wish despite her unstable emotions.

She wished for power, to punish those responsible for Darkrai's death. Without knowing what transpired, Jirachi confusedly granted the wish, powered by the Millennium Comet flying overhead. He filled Cresselia with as much power as she desired, but Cresselia had not thought about limits. She was filled with energy, and though she realized the foolishness of her wish at the last second, it was too late. Too much for her already brittle mind to control, the slender thread that was Cresselia's sanity snapped.

Unable to control her new godlike powers, Jirachi was sent flying away as she soared into the air. Warped and insane, Cresselia ascended to the moon where she started rampaging in the Lunar's Shadow. Every time she shrieked or unleashed her powers, the world would shake. Destruction and chaos wrecked the world. Reddened and growing increasingly shattered by Cresselia's wrath, the moon was labeled as the Mad Moon.

Injured and unable to move, Jirachi lies waiting for trainers to approach it in order to calm Cresselia and restore the world and purge the Mad Moon. However, not everybody intends to meet it and Cresselia for good purposes..

Canon Characters Involved: Cresselia, Darkrai, and Jirachi. There may be Professor(s) to explain what's going on and such, of course. Cyrus and Team Plasma is also involved.

Antagonists: Cresselia. People need to get up there and slap her silly until she stops raging. Get everything back to normal and just wish Darkrai back to life. Stupid moon swan.

Cyrus. He intends to use Jirachi to create the world he envisions.

Team Plasma. The Shadow Triad come across Jirachi and wish for Ghetsis to recover from his insanity, pretending Ghetsis is a hero. Too tired and weak to search their hearts, Jirachi grants their wish and tells them the story of Cresselia and Darkrai. Ghetsis later hears of Cresselia and starts mobilizing his forces to capture this incredible force of nature for his own purposes. With the world constantly hit with destruction, Team Plasma is able to spread their propaganda about Pokemon being forcefully contained and used as tools, using the story of Cresselia and Darkrai to their advantage. Now members of Team Plasma are in almost every town with varying influences.

Location: Unova. Jirachi is wounded, unable to move in the Giant Chasm. However, natural disasters have torn the region apart, causing abnormalities everywhere. The Giant Chasm is worst struck with this, full of massive stalagmites, floating rocks, lava and frozen land.

The Mad Moon: The Mad Moon is a phenomenon that will directly affect the roleplayers themselves. Every five posts, moderators will use an online randomizer to select one effect out of many. Effects can range from something harmless like All water-types start floating, causing them to be unaffected by ground-type moves to something major like All Pokemon may not use offensive moves. This only applies to battles, of course. Out of battle, you're free to talk about what the Mad Moon is doing. Making everyone float for a moment, drop randomly created rocks everywhere..just don't do something silly like making your Pokemon super powerful or kill someone.

That's my idea. Now I guess I really should go study..
