Curious about the title? Well... Gijinka's are Pokemon/Human hybrids, yeah? Technically, still Pokemon. Journeying... To find an answer... But yes! This is the new Gijinka RP!

... Welcome, all ye Gijinka's. Small lot, aren't ye? ... Anyways... Continuing. Ye know this region as the Hoenn region, do ye not? Well, ye'd be right theoretically. This is indeed the Hoenn region, aye. But she's only a portion of her former glory, sadly. Ye see, the Hoenn region has been overtaken by these evil Gijinka, the Corrupt Ones, as they call themselves.

The Corrupt Ones have played quite the cruel joke, aye. They've captured the Gym Leaders, and taken their place. They have also issued a challenge. Although, young Gijinka, whether you take it or not, is up to you.

Listen up all Gijinka! We are the Corrupt Ones, and we now hold reign over the Hoenn region! But - but! We are merciful lords, we the 13 are, and we shall issue you a fighting chance to retake your beloved region.

As you know, there are 13 of us, the Corrupt Ones. 8 of us are Gym Leaders. 4 of us make up the Elite Four. And only 1 of us is the true Corrupt Champion. But we give you this proposition. It will only take 1 Gijinka to finish, but many to pave the path. Are you ready?

Gijinka, do you think yourself strong? Intelligent, perhaps. Are you by chance a defender of the weak, or the leader of the strong? Prove yourselves now - we the Corrupt Ones are waiting for a good challenge. If you manage to defeat the 8 Gym Leaders, if you manage to fight your way to and through the 4 of the Elite Four, if you reach me and stand strong... We will relinquish our hold on the Hoenn region. But beware, young one - we shall hold nothing back. You risk your life, or risk nothing at all. We, the Corrupt Ones, await eagerly for your challenge.

Did I catch your attention? Do you like it? I think the idea's nice. A survival challenge through the ruined region of Hoenn... It's new, I admit. I don't know what I was thinking when I came up with the Corrupt Ones... But I shall post the list of the 8 Corrupt Gym Leaders, so we don't get messed up. The template is also going up tonight, as well as my example character. Remember - don't start until I give the say so! Plus, there was a reason I didn't put the word 'Gijinka' in the title. Apparently, I've been typing it 'Ginjinka' the whole time. :P Don't post yet! Not yet!

As for how it got his way, well... the Corrupted Ones is like Moltres, in this situation. Rising up in the ashes of its former glory, to take wing and soar for as long as it can before dying out again. Can you believe that it took them two tries to actually get this right, the first one being total failure. Things were in place, but they were expecting too much of a challenge from a under-supplied, new, and under-manned corporation. The odds were stacked against them, and old corruption was creamed.

However, this is where the Phoenix-, err.. I mean Moltres-part, comes in. Hoenn was at peace during this time, during the time the Corrupted Ones reformed and tracked down old members, either forcing them to join or making them give up information, as they gathered, revising places and updating them to more logical standards. Old and new, in larger numbers, with things much more planned out and Pokemon-power to boot, and the worst part about it was that Hoenn didn't even particularly care. They took the Corruption as a joke, and that's where they wronged.

Hoenn was caught completely by surprise, and because of they, the Corruption have succeeded in taking control of Hoenn and its main, public facilities, in turn, ruining the beautiful region with the various attacks and brutal moves. So under new management, the Corrupted Ones had paid construction workers that would listen to them to repair it back to a new, more powerful region. What has become of a once-sacred land in the time span of a year and ten months?

This is the list of the 13 Corrupt Ones, as well as some information about them. They look like regular Gijinka's, you can find the pictures on Google. Mostly Gen IV and down, but some Gen V Gijinkas in there... Starting from the most powerful, working down. I'm not posting the town/city they're in, because the order... Yeah. I've never played the R/S/E series either...

The Champion of the Corrupt Ones - Lionel the Luxray

Gender: Male

Age: 23

Notes: Lionel is a natural leader who commands the rest of the Corrupt Ones. He aspires to take over the world, and plans to take over Sinnoh next, which is in the north. Calm and composed, he has a madder side in the heat of battle.

The 4th Elite Four Member - Amber the Arcanine

Gender: Female

Age: 19

Notes: With a surprisingly childish and innocent demeanor, Amber can easily take foes off guard before she strikes. She is the second strongest of the Corrupt Ones, only being topped by Lionel. She wants to help Lionel in every way possible, and wishes to see the day when the world is ruled by him.

The 3rd Elite Four Member - Raphael the Pidgeot

Gender: Male

Age: 29

Notes: Raphael is the oldest of the Corrupt Ones, and was the last to join them as well. He's quiet and often seems lost in thought, or distracted. However, his eyes miss nothing, especially not a chance to attack. He seems kind enough if you're not against the Corrupt Ones.

The 2nd Elite Four Member - Gavin the Bisharp

Gender: Male

Age: 20

Notes: A true gentleman, with a hard to crack mask. He seems to be outspoken, with a very noble outlook. It's hard to tell why he turned to the Corrupt Ones in the first place.

The 1st Elite Four Member - Bubbles the Empoleon

Gender: Female

Age: 19

Notes: A fierce warrior, opposed to her calming typing, Water and Steel. She is very open with her opinions, and has the mouth of a sailor. She is extremely determined, and is very hard to beat.

The 8th Gym Leader - Verde the Sceptile

Gender: Male

Age: 21

Notes: A reasonably calm person, although he's a bit despondent. He is rarely excited by anything, only stirring when he senses a true fighting Gijinka in the area. He is hoping for the day when he can meet his equal in battle, and claims that then, only will he show his true strength.

The 7th Gym Leader - Keith the Hitmonlee

Gender: Male

Age: 16

Notes: The youngest of the Corrupt Ones. He is quick to initiate a battle, and has blinding speed and crushing attack strength to back his actions. Stronger than he first appears, Keith is not a boy to underestimate. He is thin and short for his age.

The 6th Gym Leader - Elaine the Espeon

Gender: Female

Age: 20

Notes: The only pure Psychic type in the Corrupt Ones, she is extremely intelligent, and fights only with her mind. She never moves a muscle during battle, and can throw her enemy around like a rag doll with her powers. She never speaks, communicating mentally instead.

The 5th Gym Leader - Shun the Lucario

Gender: Male

Age: 17

Notes: Shun is physically blind, and relies heavily on his aura sight, his hearing, and his nose to spot his enemy. Despite his crippling disability, he never misses a target, and never fails to hit a enemy, unless they dodge, of course. He also wears a long cloth over his eyes.

The 4th Gym Leader - Shawna the Zangoose

Gender: Female

Age: 22

Notes: With a temper and tongue to match Bubbles, Shawna is a formidable woman. Like Keith, she is quick to fight, but takes stock of a situation before she jumps in head first.

The 3rd Gym Leader - Aaron the Charizard

Gender: Male

Age: 25

Notes: The one to start the banding of the Corrupt Ones. Very little besides that is known about him. He is not as hot headed as one might think.

The 2nd Gym Leader - Zac the Flygon

Gender: Male

Age: 22

Notes: He seems a bit scruffy, and willing to listen to just about anyone. The only Ground and Dragon Type in the Corrupt Ones, he isn't as Corrupt as he seems. Lately, rumors have it that he is willing and very well might betray the Corrupt Ones to form a resistance.

The 1st Gym Leader - Amelia the Ninjask

Gender: Female

Age 20

Notes: The fastest of the Corrupt Ones, Amelia is constantly flitting about, and can blend in with the shadows effortlessly. If she doesn't want to be seen, she won't be. Also a silent one, Amelia only speaks when absolutely necessary.

(Now... We begin! We are in Littleroot Town.)

Alice 'Ally' the Talonflame fluffed her feathers worridly, one wing extended, preening through said wing with a comb. She was waiting for the other relatively young Gijinka of the town to gather in the centre of Littleroot Town. She, along with the others had decided a week ago, that something had to be put to stone with the Corrupt Ones.

Ally looked around, spotting a female Zoroark and a female Pikachu Gijinka. She'd never seen them before, and was admittedly curious. Putting away her comb, she zipped into the air a few feet, flying above their heads.

"Hello," she called. "Are you new to Littleroot Town? I presume you come... In peace?"

Yfel tilted her head to the wind, taking in the scent of other gijinkas. A Talonflame, a Zoroark, and a Pikachu. Running her tongue carefully against her serrated teeth, the Zweilous gijinka walked with confidence into the town. Littleroot Town was nothing of interest for her, Yfel preferred the biggest Basculin she could stomach.

Jet, the Dewott, walked up to the others. "I'm here." He looked at those who had already shown up to the gathering.

Gilan was lying on the beach, feeling the soft glare of the sun on his face. He sighed contently. This is the life...no worries...no responsibilities...just the peacefulness of the oce-.

"WAKE UP, BROTHER!" two young voices chorused. Gilan grunted slightly when he felt something heavy land on his stomach. He opened up one lazy eye to see Sky and Sea giggling. A soft smile crossed Gilan's face.

"Is it dinnertime already?" he asked. Sky shook his head while Sea answered:

"We heard from a secret source that there's going to be a gathering of all the young Gijinkas in Littleroot Town!"

Sky then picked up from his sister as she shook her head:

"They're planning to revolt against the Corrupt Ones!"

"Uh-huh," Gilan mumbled, eyes threatening to close. "And what's that got to do with ruining my sleep?" Before his eyes could close, the Totodile Twins each pulled one eyelid back up.

"Dad asked you to join them!"

Gilan sighed as he remembered that scene on the beach. Granted, he would like to see the Corrupt Ones up and gone, but if it involved interrupting his daily routine, he might just pass the responsibility to some other Gijinka.

"I'm not young at all," he yawned as he dragged himself to the centre of Littleroot, quite literally. He ignored all the stares he was getting as he slowly crawled to where the other Gijinka were waiting. He yawned again, unintentionally showing off his multiple fangs and scaring some of the younger Gijinka.

Hey hey, what's the matter sweetheart? Why aren't you eating everything in yoru path? You scared? Huh? I bet you you're scared. How about you give me this lovely little bo-

"Yfel would rather not hear you speak right now, Little Me," The Zweilous gijinka murmured as she padded noiselessly through the town, not even giving the other gijinkas gathered around a single glance. Even if she wanted to, she had no eyes to gaze with.

I need food, the obnoxious voice inside her head whined. Yfel tuned it out and continued walking, her stomach growling.

(Ne, Okami-chaaan. Have some character interaction, no? Maybe some discussion or something?)

Yfel's forked tongue flicked out, seemingly with a mind of its own. "Seafood." Her head turned ever so slightly towards Jet's direction.

"I prefer raw meat. Preferably a still beating heart," Yfel said smoothly, her voice accidentally coming out rather deep and masculine. Without another word, she plucked the Oran Berry from the Pikachu Gijinka and ate it.

Alice looked around at the ragtag group. Gijinka from all different clans had gathered, which was a blessing in it of itself. The Zoroark woman and Pikachu woman, a Zweilous female, a Dewott male, and a Feraligatr male teen. Together, they made up a small group of six.

She assess their most probable abilities. She knew the Zoroark woman could probably make strong illusions. The Pikachu Gijinka was the only Electric Type. Dragon Types were naturally strong, and the Zweilous female probably had strength to spare. Both the Dewott and Feraligatr males could probably swim very well. She herself was the only Fire and Flying Type, the only one with an airborne ability.

Alice cleared her throat, landing on the ground gently. "Ahem... Welcome to Littleroot Town," she said confidently. "As you know, the Corrupt Ones cannot be allowed to gain any further hold on the Hoenn region. Although this gathering is merely of coincidence, I believe that if we all work together as a team," she stressed the word 'team', looking at all the different Gijinka's with sharp eyes. "We may have a chance to bring down the Corrupt Ones. Of course, we'll all need to cooperate together to achieve this goal."

Alice noted the Zoroark woman's sharp reflexes, and was both impressed and alarmed at the same time. "Whoa, hey, keep the peace," she said, gently nudging the Zoroark's claws away from the Pikachu woman's throat. "We can't be tearing each other apart if we're going to do this." She smiled.

Alice nodded. "I see." She looked at the other Gijinka's milling about. They were quite the disorganized group, with no leader, and hardly any enthusiasm to face the Corrupt Ones. The reason being that most who opposed the Corrupt Ones were killed sooner or later. She herself had no wish to be a leader - more of a follower, or perhaps an adviser, but she knew that she was hardly fit to be a leader. Alice sighed.

Ryker and Byte ran up to the group of Gijinka. The two friends were out of breath, having run their hardest for the past few minutes.

"Sorry we're late!" Ryker gasped.

"I told you we should have gone right," Byte huffed.

Alice looked over, to see two males run up. One, from the Luxray Clan, and one from the Arcanine Clan. Another Electric Type, and a new Fire Type. Good. Mentally, she smiled.

Yfel turned her head again, facing the Talonflame. "...Defeat the Corrupted Ones, you say. Yfel will come along, if only to see where this paths leads her, but she will not lead...unless you all wish to die young."

Cocking her head again, she yawned. "We should take this meeting to a place with no extra ears. Who knows if there are those sympathetic to the Corrupted Ones here?"

(I'm about to make a new OC, the leader, if no one else wants the position. Otherwise, he'll just be the one who drops in from time to time, haha.)

Alice nodded. "If no one minds... I believe my parents are out in the big city at the moment, and my house is avaliable. If nothing else, a house will provide the shelter necessary, yes?" She beckoned all the Gijinka's to follow, but paused when she heard a slightly panicked, but deep male voice call out.

"H-hey! Wait up, yeah?"

(The voice belongs to me will-be-in-a-moment male Gijinka.)

Ryker turned to Byte. "See! We weren't the last ones to arrive!" He said.

The Luxio Gijinka sighed. "We were still late."

(... Does the sentence: 'The blind leading the blind' come to mind? XD No offense. My new Gijinka is a Lucario, I've not all the details physically typed out, but I know what he looks and acts like in my head."

Ashtik jogged up, grinning easily at the other Gijinka's. "Well, seems like little ol' me is last here, yeah? So, what's the deal?"

Alice looked at the Lucario Gijinka. "We're about to head over to my place to talk - hopefully in peace and without anybody spying."
