![]() Blade, if you want this to be called something different, I can change it no problem. I just figured something half-way dramatic would be nice. Guys, let Blade kick off this thread. So no RPing until he arrives. 1/20/2014 . Edited by Mr. Grool, 3/5/2016 #1 |
![]() Yippee! Thanks, Mew! Now...ON WITH THE RP! Takuro shivered in the cold. He wrapped his scarf around him tighter as the wind continued to bite in his neck. Litty was in his coat, so there was no problems of warmth there. The thirteen-year-old boy looked around him. In a small town as this, there wasn't much people hurrying about. It was almost...relaxed. The boy smiled secretively. His smile disappeared as the wind blew again. Why was he out here again? Oh, yeah! Now he remembered. Takuro hurried down the street. He smiled slightly hearing Litty laugh rhythmically to his gait. Once he reached his destination, Takuro stopped to catch his breath. His Litwick popped out of his coat, shivering slightly in the cold. "Here we are, Litty. The Burst Warrior Academy." The Breloom Burst grunted as he slammed into the ground. Before Clove could strike again, the referee blew his whistle. "And the winner, once again, is Clover Fields!" the man announced, raising his right hand towards the young man. Clove relaxed slightly. His elbows returned to their normal length, and he revoked his Burst. Ragune, Takumi's Gallade, soon stood by him. Back to his original appearance, Clove smiled a bit at the cheering in the stands. "WE LOVE YOU, CLOVE!" shrieked some extreme fans. Even though Ragune rolled his eyes, Clove looked over to the girls. He gave a brighter smile and waved at them. Their screaming intensified. "Thank you for your support!" Clove laughed. At his laugh, some of the girls sighed dreamily while others fainted. "Would anybody else like to step up to the stage and challenge our reigning champion?" the referee asked enthusiastically. No...I'm not the reigning champion...it should have been Takumi...it SHOULD HAVE BEEN TAKUMI!!! Clove didn't realized how hard he was clenching his fist until Ragune placed a calming hand on his shoulder. The young man started in surprise before looking down at his palm. Four red crescent moons bleed lightly. It's all right, Clove... The Burst Warrior nodded. Yeah...I'll find a way to revive him soon...it's a promise. (Quick announcement! I decree that Mega Burst is now legal in ReBurst! Rules: pretty much the same as that in X and Y. However, once your character revokes his or her Mega Burst, he or she has to wait a certain amount of time to "recover" before being able to Mega Burst again. The recharge time depends on how long he or she was in that Mega Burst for. The more time he or she spends as a Mega Burst, the more energy it takes out of him or her and more time it takes to recover. Everybody agree on this?) -From Post #269 (date: 29 January 2014) ...I don't know why I'm putting those stuff down...anyways, I just wanted you guys to have an easy way to look at the rules of Mega Bursting with skimming through the RP. :D 1/20/2014 . ![]() Hoo boy, this is going to be good. Kiryu stood on a ladder and proceeded to put another book away. She sighed, staring out through the window of the book store. Life for Kiryu hadn't been very kind to her for the past couple years. After the economy became worse, being a thief was harder and harder. Now that the gang members were taking hold of the cities, common pickpockets were either joining the gang ranks or being subjected to gang punishment and poverty. After a few months of pickpocketing and sleeping on the streets, Kiryu gave up her criminal life. Still, Arceus seemed to want revenge for resorting to crime in her second life. Kiryu applied again at the Burst academy for nothing more than a bed to sleep in, but was denied. Her criminal life began turning against her. Without any family or friends to turn to, Kiryu changed her name back and began working odd jobs around various cities. These, fortunately, kept her from dropping to the lowest of low jobs, but forced her to grow up in a non-Burst world. She had been working in the book store for a couple months, living in the apartment above it. Kiryu turned back to the shelf and began filing books again. As she put one on the shelf, she did a double take to see that the book was one that she had read a few years ago, before her family was cut off from her. A wave of nostalgia passed over her, longing to be back with Chao and Lin, her brother and sister. She closed her eyes as she remembered all her past friends. Ivy, Suki, Takumi- She abruptly opened her eyes. She didn't want to think about Takumi. That would just lead to thoughts of that fateful day... Kiryu continued to put books back on the shelf. Now, before I continue, let me just say that I'll never amount to Mew, but I'll sure as heck try. 1/20/2014 #4 |

![]() A lone figure was up in a tree, staring at the small town. "...He could have stopped me... He could have forced me to stay... He could have prevented her death." The figure then looked at his purplish-black burst heart looking at the Gengar it contained. This figure had been holding in his anger against the group, he had seen the Palkia, he had seen Takumi laying dead, and he had walked away, too scared of what he had done to the girl he killed to face the group. "...They all could have stopped me... but one by one, they all will fall... and suffer just like me..." The figure jumped to the ground, before turning and walking off. 1/20/2014 #8 |
![]() "I WANT TO!" A high pitched voice screamed at that, a hand shot up in the air, before a figure struggles through the mass of FANGIRLS and several Fanboys, before she trips on a foot and bursts out of the crowed, stumbling on her feet uncoordinated, tripping over her feet a few times as her arms flailed quite comically. "Whoa whoa whoa wha!" She screeched, before she face planted right in front of Cloves feet, her sketchbook thrown into the air and sunglasses knocked askew. "Ouch." The crowd seemed to start whispering among themselves at the appearance of such a ditsy girl, her clothes strange and her demeanor stranger. This did not paze the female at all, as she got onto her feet, bouncing. "And when I win, I wanna draw you!" She called, puffing up her flat Chest, not caring about the looks she'd garnered from that. "You where moving to fast! I just want a sketch!" 1/20/2014 . Edited 1/20/2014 #9 |
![]() Clove stepped back in surprise as the girl fell right in front of him. Ragune quickly jumped into the air to catch the girl's sketchbook and sunglasses. Clove scratched his head, smiling at her. "A sketch of me? You just needed to ask, you know..." the young man grinned widely. The fangirls went wild at his face. Some could even describe it as shining. He held out a hand to her, "Sure, I'll battle you. What's your name, little lady?" 1/20/2014 #10 |
![]() A boy dressed in black just sat in the farthest corner away form all of the commotion. He really didn't want to be there, but he had no choice considering he had a Burst Heart and the foster home he was attached to had rules regarding Burst Hearts, and being at the Academy was one of them. He reached into his bag beside him an pulled out several objects. A silver Burst Heart, sewing needles, thread of various colors, and a book. The book was a basic theory book about how to use Burst Hearts and such. He scanned each thing before putting the Burst Heart back in his bag and taking up the needles and thread. It was time to make another hat to sell to a store somewhere. 1/20/2014 #11 |
![]() The girl tilted her head back at Clove, still grinning happily, though she was squinting from the suns rays. He stared out at the world with bright, yet tired eyes, evident from the shadows underneath. "Samantha!" She chirped happily, sticking out her own hand to give Clove's a shake without a hint of nervousness whatsoever, as though he was a good friend, not a celebrity. Well, she was about to, until she noticed his self-inflicted wounds welling with a little blood, so she instead shook him by the fingers, though still enthusiastically. "Well I didn't think I could! You seemed kinda busy, hehe." She comments, before pulling her hand back to readjust the beanie on her head. "So I think this would be better. Ready?" She asked brightly, clutching at her choker, and Bursted. The female's messy hair grew shorter, fluffing up and lightened from brown to a light fluffy cream. Her ears grew long, brown and tipped in more cream fluff as her eyes flashed pink. Her yellow and black converse became fluffy high-heeled creme boots, and her clothing started to resemble a sort of long dark-brown double-breasted coat-dress and tight and brown pants. Her wrist became covered with the same fluffy cream fur as her ears are, almost covering all of her fingers as well. The Lopunny burst hopped on one foot, then the other, before she curled up both her arms up, in a way to signify she was ready to throw punches as she spread her feet to get a better sense of balance. "This way is more fun too!" 1/20/2014 . Edited 6/5/2014 #12 |
![]() Two teenage boys sat in the top row of bleachers, watching the action down on the gym floor. The first of the boys had a disintrested look on his face, while his visibly larger companion was much more immeresed in the action. As time went on, the first boy slowly reverted to simply laying on the bleacher, practically ready to take a nap. "Honestly, Griffen," he groaned. "Do we really have to be here?" Griffen shrugged off his question. "Aw, come on Phoenix! We've wanted to come here since we were kids! Just because you uad some bad experiences here doesn't mean the place is cursed." Phoenix stayed silent as he tried to block out the memories that had once again come back to him. This place wasn't cursed. He just didn't want to be here. It didn't help that so many of the others from before were here too. Like Clove. He was even using Ragune! How could he stand it? Just seeing the Gallade brought out events he wished he could forget. At that moment, a brown haired girl of their age joined the two, holding a large bag of popcorn. Griffen turned to her, a confised look on his face. "Where did you even get that, Rina?" She shrugged, dipping her hand into the popcorn and tossing it into her mouth. "I wanted popcorn, so I made some," she answered after a few seconds. "Is it really that hard to understand?" Phoenix spoke up from his other side. "Yeah, is it really?" The large boy slumped over in his seat. These two were impossible sometimes. 1/20/2014 #13 |
![]() The boy in black continued to sew the hat. or knit, whatever term is used for it. He glanced over to the battlefield to see a girl in a Lopunny Burst. He started to add brown to the hat and began making it look like a brightly colored Bunary head. 1/20/2014 #14 |
![]() Salvador walked along with two of his friends down the hall of BWA. "Come on, man, you've got to see this. Clove's taking challengers, and I heard some girl is battling him now!" "Yeah," the other chimed in. "But it'll probably be hard to see the action, since so many of his fans are crowding the gym. Maybe we can snag seats with good views in the bleachers." "Okay, okay," the blue-haired boy laughed, putting a hand behind his head. "I'm coming, aren't I?" But he continued to walk along at the same leisurely pace. "Dude," his first friend huffed, "Hurry up!" About to reply, Salvador glanced out the window and caught sight of a boy standing outside the academy gates. "Yeah, sure. Give me a second, okay? I'll catch up with you guys later." He waved off his friends' grumbling protests and quickened his step, walking out the front entrance and toward the boy in the coat. He could see a Litwick nestled up in there. "Hi," Salvador greeted as he neared them. "The name's Salvador. Are you two here to enroll Burst Warrior Academy?" 1/20/2014 #15 |
![]() Suki, looking quite depressed as she has been for the past two years, watched the Burst Warrior fights on tv, specifically Cloves fights. 1/20/2014 #16 |
![]() Meanwhile, a young girl was walking along, a Lampent floating beside her. Her watch beeped a bit, and she tapped it. A little girl's face popped up. "Um, Celina, just wondering.......have you got the components yet?" the girl asked, very nervous. "How many times do I have to tell you to stop asking me? *Sigh* No, not yet, like I said I'm going to get them a bit later, I'm just going around town for a bit, and maybe get a little info. Understand?" Celina asked, clearly annoyed. "Yes Celina, understood" the girl said before the picture turned off. Celina sighed, and continued walking, the Lampent continuing to float beside her. 1/20/2014 #17 |
![]() "Heh! You just needed to ask!" Clove snapped his fingers. Ragune leaped backwards, out of the way of the battle. Clove took out another Burst Heart and placed it on his glove. "Let's make this a little more challenging!" Even though his mouth was zipped up, the young man's eerie laughter still echoed throughout the whole building. His blood-shot eyes stared at Samantha with a crazed look at his gray hat flopped over his now-dark hair. Clove cheerfully beckoned to his opponent with a black-sleeved, covered hand. "I always love a challenge!" There's nothing to gain in fighting a weak Burst Warrior. You're too weak. Everyone here is too weak! Clove began to mutter some words. Six blue orbs floated around him. They all caught on fire as the Bannette Burst chanted his words louder. "Break her will!" he suddenly shouted. The Will-O-the-Wisps flew from his side and began to encircle the Lopunny Burst. Without giving her a chance to escape, they sunk into her skin, burning her. Clove grinned his crazy grin once again, "Normal vs. Ghost. I wonder how this would turn out?" They're all weak! It's getting louder...his voice is getting louder... "Hmm?" Takuro looked over to where the stranger was approaching him. He gave a grin. "No, actually. I'm here to see Clove. Do you know him?" The little boy snuggled in his scarf again. Not wanting to miss out, Litty snuggled deeper in Takuro's coat. "I'm Takuro. What's your name?" Takuro tilted his head at the blue-haired boy. Weak...he's too weak...they're all weak... 1/20/2014 #18 |
![]() (Very good! Just popped by to check in right before I sleep. You're doing amazing, Mr. Grool, don't worry. I left Kirsten/Kiryu in good hands, I know. I actually used to shelve books in the school library when I was in middle school actually. XD I know a thing or two about shelving books, for real! Keep being awesome, guys. :D) 1/20/2014 #19 |
![]() Samantha grinned when she caught sight of the of Clove's choice Burst, easily guessing the species due to the zipped-up mouth. She had several run-ins with Ghost-types before, and being a Burst Warrior that owned one of these tricky creatures herself, she decides she could hazard a guess what tricks Clove had up his sleeve. But still Samantha kept on her guard, quickly using her heightened speed to execute her chosen move as the other spoke. "I always love a challenge!" The Banette burst had claimed in that strange hollow voice that echoed as she entwined her fingers together; as though in prayer; and that brought a wider smile to the Lopunny burst's face. "Well I'll do my best then!" She called back as Clove beckoned her with that claw swipe, but she merely stayed on the spot, watching the other's movements intently. As the small orbs of eerie fire flew over to her and around, she removed her fingers from each other, moving slowly as she cupped a small brilliantly simmering orb of condensed golden light seeming to grow larger and larger the more she spread her fingers apart. As the Will-O-Wisps that encircled her flew in, she spread out her hands quickly, and that seemed to shatter the ball and allow it to fan out in a shower of golden sparks that danced on her skin, casting a short-lasting shield around her and causing the balls of fire to bounce off, and instead zoom back towards it's caster, disappearing into his skin and burning him instead and protecting herself. *Magic Coat* Not one to gloat over guessing her opponents move, the tired-eyed girl took in a breath, before she started to bounce all over the place in seemingly random directions, her eyes glowing bright blue as an orb seemingly comprised of shadows itself started to swirl in her hands, Clove taking on a slightly blue tint himself. She charges the Shadow Ball for a little longer, before swinging her arm back and forcefully lobbing the Shadow Ball right at Clove with full force, the orb sent flying at an insane speed right for her opponents gut. The orb exploded on impact. "Felix was sure he was going the right way until Jade told him to go to the left." A carefree tone, sounding absolutely content, rang out in the cool air of the forest. "Though this atmosphere is quite quaint, he fails to see why taking the scenic route would be more beneficial other than gaining some form of exercise." The crunching of leaved underfoot sounded, and a child is seen, strolling happily through the woods. His grey hair is a mane of fluff, and his trailing scarf seemed to snake along without trouble, not even getting snared by any sort of root or fallen branch. His eyes where strangely closed while he moved, not while he was standing still and focusing his breath on the fresh crisp air. He took another bite of the daintily decorated vanilla cupcake in his hands, his other preoccupied with a black walking stick, it seemed. Well, of course he needed it, for he is blind. Simple as that. Still, they way he carried himself as he strolls was far too confident of a blind person solely dependent on his walking stick. "Felix just wants to be back home after checking out the rebuilt academy Jade." He spoke again, dodging the tree he had snared with the end of his cane of sorts. "Is that really too much to ask?" The boy sighs, before taking another bite of the delicious cup-cake in his hands, licking his lips as he savored the taste. The treat had a sweet scent, sure to attract anything with a sensitive nose and growling belly. (Obvious set-up is Obvious.) 1/21/2014 . Edited 6/5/2014 #20 |
![]() The hunt was definitely NOT going well today. Not a single piece of prey to be found. A Growlithe stumbled across the forest floor. He was the one on the aforementioned hunt. You would've thought that he would've had a home and a father to catch his prey for him considering the age he looked from a distance. Though if you got close enough, you would see that he is very rugged and....colorful. He lifted his head to scent the air and he caught something he hadn't scented before. It smelled very sweet and it cause his stomach to grumble. He followed the scent until he saw this...Pokémon? He had a confused look on his face and in his body language since he had never come across this type of thing before. The Growlithe quickly got over his confusion and settled into his prowling stance, his eyes locked on the sweet-smelling piece of food in the other creature's hand. He waited in the shadows and watched the creature take a bite out of the food. This caused him to run out and charge using Flame Wheel. He would cancel it when he got close enough to jump and grab that sweet-smelling morsel. 1/21/2014 . Edited 1/21/2014 #21 |
![]() When the orb exploded on impact. Clove's fans all gasped in one breath. The dust cloud covered most of the gym, preventing the onlookers from seeing the field clearly. As it dissipated, the audience fell in a hush. Large black claws outlined in purple extended from Clove's sleeves. He, for one, didn't look like the Shadow Ball hit him at all. "Mirror Coat, huh? Haven't met an opponent who uses her head for once," Clove said in a teasing voice. His eyes suddenly flashed a bright red as his body outlined in blue. Blue rings pulsed from his body, hitting Samantha with a gentle force. "Let's see you use Shadow Ball now," he taunted after he finished using his Disable. 1/21/2014 #22 |
![]() Phoenix groaned in annoyance. All of these Clove fangirls were just plain annoying. He hadn't even seen the guy in two years and he knew that Clove hadn't actually been hit. He was just too good for a move like that to work. Rina looked over at her friend. "Are you seriously just taking a nap? This is quality entertainment!" The dark skinned teen looked up at her, barely lifting his head. "I would be if it weren't for these idiots overreacting about every little thing that happens to Clove." He layed back down and closed his eyes, much to Rina's annoyance. "Besides, I'm tired." "You are so moody sometimes... And you should really get more sleep." 1/21/2014 . Edited 6/6/2014 #23 |
![]() "What a coincidence," Salvador said, grinning back. "I was just on my way to see him. Clove's a sort of celebrity at our school, and right now he's in the gym taking on challengers." "Takuro." He sounded the name out, pronouncing it perfectly. "That's a nice name. I'm Salvador." He stuck out a hand. Realizing that said hand was slowly turning as blue as his hair with cold, the boy gestured to the building. "Why don't you come on inside? I'll show you to the gym. You'll have to register at the front desk as a visitor first, though." He knelt down and smiled at the Litwick. "And what's this guy's name?" 1/21/2014 . Edited 1/21/2014 #24 |
![]() "He is? Huh...that's weird..." Takuro scratched his head thoughtfully. He shivered as the wind blew even harder. "Okay! Thank you for having me, Salvador! It'll be nice if I can see Clove soon..." Why? Takuro took out his Litwick. The little Pokemon sneezed from the cold wind. The boy hugged his Pokemon tightly. "This is Litty! He's been with me for as long as I can remember!" 1/21/2014 #25 |
![]() The figure continued to walk off from his spot before looking at the Burst warrior academy. He saw Salvador and takuro listened to their conversation, but stopped as soon as he heard a word he hadn't heard in two years. The figure clenched his burst heart in his left hand hearing the name Clove. He thought to himself silently: so taking on challengers... a celebrity... he still could have changed what happened... kept me with the group... The figure turned and started walking towards the forest, thinking of that day, the day a person he looked up to died, and he himself died within himself. 1/21/2014 . Edited 1/21/2014 #26 |
![]() "It's nice to meet you too, Litty," Salvador said graciously before ushering them past the gate, through the snow, and inside. "Whew. Pretty cold out there, huh? Here's the office; you'll have to sign in as a visitor." Salvador directed the pair into the room. He greeted the secretary and handed Takuro the clipboard and a pen. Then he quickly blew on his fingers and rubbed them together until they were no longer numb. It had probably been a bad idea to go outside in just a T-shirt. 1/21/2014 #27 |
![]() "Woah, looks like the girl knows what she's doing." Someone commented from the bleachers, straightening out his red-tinted goggles as he catches sight of the explosion from the power of Will-O-Wisp and Shadow Ball. This was already turning out to be quite the match, and it was told from just the deflection that was the Shadow Ball. It was exciting, to take time off to see Burst Battles this big. And seeing how Samantha would be the underdog in the situation, he believed that the girl stood quite a chance against Clove. All that was really needed was hard work. "Now I know who to cheer for. ...Oi, Lopunny girl, you got this match in the bag! Take that ghostly bizarrio down some notches!" "Hey, shut up!" One of the fans shouted back, obviously from Clove's fandom. "That girl's gonna get wrecked by Clove! Just watch and see!" The teenager turned over to that cocky fan, flashing him a small grin. "Not if she puts her all into it. Hard work, that's what it's all about." "Tarous-malarkey! Clove got this DOWN!" The rowdy fan retorted, now garnering a few stares from the other patrons. Would the guy just be quiet already? They were trying to watch the match, and he was making a big deal out of practically nothing. "Whatever you say." He shrugged, getting up to move away from noisy man. He was probably in the crazy area of Clove's fan-base, though he was stopped by someone grabbing his arm suddenly. "What the-..." The goggles-wearing male stopped to look back up at that same fan from before. The man glared down at him with his muscular structure, holding up a Burst Heart in his hands, smirking. "Whatever I say, huh? Well then, let's have a Burst Battle outside this dump, to see who's right, in five minutes." "Wait, wha-" "Don't be late..." The muscular man growled, releasing the miner from his iron-arm grip, before walking off to the exit. The teen could only stare in disbelief as he was suddenly wrapped up in a Burst Battle. things usually don't get this hectic, unless somebody famous comes to down. Apparently Clove's famous. "...What just happened?" 1/21/2014 . Edited 1/21/2014 #28 |
![]() Takuro happily followed Salvador. He waited patiently until he received the clipboard and pen. "Thank you!" the boy quickly wrote down the needed information. Litty watched his trainer for a while before patting on the clipboard. "What's that?" Takuro asked. "Litwick!" "No last name? Oh...right..." Takuro thought for a moment before squibbling more letters before his first name: Genji. He handed the clipboard and pen back to the secretary. His sharp eyes picked up the secretary's startled reaction. Pretending not to notice, he turned to Salvador. "Say...have you heard of a Burst Warrior named Takumi? I heard that he used to go to this academy..." 1/21/2014 #29 |
![]() A small boy, dressed in the odd, spike-stripe style of a Zigzagoon, was watching the battle. He lost his interest, exciting as the battle was, as it was a really long battle, and he was itching to go somewhere. He squeezed out of the crowd and walked around a bit, looking for something to do. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw some brightly colored thread, and something glinting dully. He turned towards it, and saw a man dressed in black knitting what seemed like a hat. The boy walked up to him fearlessly, never mind the dark clothing he bore. He crouched a small bit to look at the hat and said, "Hey! Mister! Whatchu making there?" he said in his high, not yet broken voice. 1/21/2014 #30 |
