Alright. This is a rather morbid topic to start off our newly found Announcement Board on... But it'll have to do, yeah?

First... A bit of history, hm? I don't remember where the idea came from... Certainly not the name. PokePlayers. It does have a certain ring to it, no? According to the Rules! Thread... First post, August 6th, 2012. I started PokePlayers August 4th, 2012. Fair, fair.

Amongst the senior members are Okami, Blade, Void, and Death. The main ones, at least. Yoshi, who never really did much, was technically first. Mist was here for a brief fling, but left after a few months, or so. Minato, Squirrel, Malefic... All came and left, disappeared, but not forgotten.

... At least, I hope not.

I could go on and on. Most came and left after a certain period of time, but if you remember the names Mr. Grool, Prince, and Mewtwo... Well, I certainly hope you do. They came, and never left. Crazy, right? Admittedly, the order is technically Mewtwo, Prince, and Mr. Grool, but...

You guys are amazing.

And still crazy, but amazing. Seriously.

We've had our ups and downs. A high rise in posts, hit our lowest the next day. I really wish you guys could access PokePlayers Forum Stats. only three days of December - 3! One, two, three! - and already 5,989 Views and 109 Visitors to PokePlayers. Surely there can't be this many of us, now can there? Goodness... I remember when there were less than 20 of us, and I was a very proud Mew.

I'm still an extremely proud Mew, bursting with pride in you guys, really. Really, truly, honestly.

(Last month, we had over 1,000 visitors and over 41,000 views. In the first month of opening PokePlayers, we got 4,000 views and 129 visitors. And that was in a month. Our current count is in THREE DAYS. I love you guys.)

In the past year and several months, we have gone from the very bottom to the 6th largest Pokemon forum on the site. Topped only by the forum Pokemon RP: The Chinese Knockoff, which was also created in 2012, December. But I'm sure we'll catch up. But that's not the point, is it?

PokePlayers is a place to have fun. To RP, to share thoughts, memories, stories! We're writers! We write Fanfiction, amazing stories! And that's why it really, really pains me to have to do this. But I'm no longer fit to lead PokePlayers. I'm stepping down.

PokePlayers is honestly like my child. ... As close as I can get to having a child at the age of 14. Ahem. (I am a girl, yes. This is a logically correct connection to make.) And handing it over it hard. Even to the people I trust most, Prince and Blade. And now you know why Blade is suddenly a moderator.

Because I'm stepping down, and letting them carve the way.

I'm not going to be gone forever, don't worry. You'll see me now and again. Introducing new members, a quick 'Hi', or 'What's up?' in the Chat Thread. I'll still be managing all the topics, creating new ones when need be. I'll still be around... But I'll no longer take an active part in RPing.

Thus, I need people to take up my characters. Blade has graciously taken my oldest RP character, Chyna Zevvy, under his wing, and for that, I'm quite, quite thankful. You don't know how pleased I am. I don't trust my characters to just anyone, especially not the one I first created... Ever, for a RPing purpose.

But Kirsten, Alice, Ashtik... They're in need of a new life. I've worn them out. Old news. So... Anyone willing? Remember, not everyone gets my characters. In particular... Well, I've known you guys for quite a while, and I think you might be able to tell what - more specifically, who - I'm directing these words to.

... I think I'm going to start crying if I keep going on.

As I mentioned somewhere, I'm very emotionally invested in PokePlayers. I poured my heart into this... I never thought it'd ever get here. And so, I could tell you that you're amazing and beautiful and astounding - thank you, thank you, thankyouthankyouthankyou - until I'm blue... And none of it would ever be enough. You guys have given me so much, and I've failed you so many times...

I'm so very sorry. So sorry. Sorry.

But I might have the slightest of chances of redeeming myself, maybe. I have something in mind, but I don't want to disappoint you guys. But for my own sake of mine... I won't fail you guys again. It's the least I can do.

And to all you new people... I don't know you very well. I probably won't get the chance to. I'm very sorry. I know you'll fit in perfectly though. We're very accepting people. I might have let you down... But I'm sure your fellow PokePlayers won't let that happen.

So... PokePlayers. I step down today. Once I am assured that my characters are in safe hands, I'll be off. I'll be back though, with a quick word, a smile. Always. But anyways, welcome to the throne Prince, and Blade. I know PokePlayers is in safe hands.

Mercury, I'll give you Tamao, because I didn't flesh her out very much, and she has so much potential, I think, that a fresh start is good. But I'm a bit more reluctant with Devon. PM me later, so we can talk. If you prove that you can get into her mindset easily, Devon will be yours.

School has been taking a toll on me, so I rarely come on FanFiction anymore. When I do, I normally check my favorite stories and a few forums that I have been on for a long time. Also, I missed a week or two and now have no idea of what is going on. I'm sorry for this, but I don't think that I can stay and actively participate.

Well now, for anyone that does not know, and I assume that everyone would know by now, The Chat Thread: Version 2 is now closed. You may now go to the Chat Thread: Version 3. That is all, for now. Just wanted to let you all know, but you guys probably already know :)

I will be leaving for a week today so as of 3:00PM EST all communications from me will cease until Wednesday, July 30th. I don't know the exact time, but assume late in the day. If I am able to post after 3:00 then it will be for an undetermined amount of time.
