Author's Note: Guys, I am extremely sorry for the six year wait. I honestly could have finished this a long time ago but I truly did not have a drive to write anymore. I hope y'all enjoy and there's a little bit of M content because I'm not fourteen or fifteen or however old I was when I wrote this. . .I like juicy scenes. ;) Okay, I'm irritating, goodbye! Hope y'all enjoy! :)

As a teenager, you will most likely be discouraged from having sex by most adults of society. In fact, they will push and drive this strict, abstinence-only agenda into your subconscious to the point where they make you, I don't know, actually want to have sex. So, to avoid unwanted pregnancies and STDs, they should be pushing the narrative of having safe, consensual sex. When the opportunity presents itself, teenagers should be placed in a position where they aren't caught in any mishaps due to misinformation.

For Percy and Annabeth, moving past heavy-petting was enough to drive Annabeth to find out more information they needed to know before they actually decided they were ready to have sex. She would always reprimand Percy that if he couldn't restrain himself from giggling upon hearing the word "sex," then, by all means, they weren't ready to have sex! Of course, he would counter this accusation by saying the idea of having sex with her made him so happy that he couldn't contain his joy because he imagined when it would happen, for years. In a reality they were both familiar with, Annabeth wasn't ready to have sex quite yet and it always made her feel better to accuse Percy of not being ready even when they both knew that he was well beyond being ready.

So, when it did happen, it turned out to be a complete disaster.

First of all, Annabeth went out of her way to plan everything, meaning Percy was left out of the planning process which probably wasn't a good idea. However, she wanted it to be a surprise. Annabeth made sure that it happened on the weekend that Percy mentioned his mother was going to be out of town to attend a writers' workshop in New York City. Sally had booked a hotel for three days to make sure she attended all the workshops being held throughout the weekend. With that in mind, Annabeth tried so hard making sure everything was perfect: the way Percy's bedsheets looked with her on it, the candles, the roses, and she went as far as hiding a sexy bra and panty set from Victoria's Secret from her mother for two weeks. For once, she wanted to try to be the romantic one in their relationship. Percy was constantly leading and very open about his emotions whereas she needed to have an angry conversation to coax emotions out of her.

To make a long story short, the candles fell on Percy's bed as he excitedly jumped on her, giving her whiplash, and they spent more time petting the miniature flames off of the bed than petting each other. Though, later on that night when Annabeth stopped complaining about her neck and her embarrassment lessened, the couple shared a bed together and the sex was far from perfect but enough to make them feel content in each other's arms when it was all over with.

Annabeth held on to moments like that. The imperfect ones. It reminded her to ground herself and not expect every aspect of her life to be adorned with details of perfection. Percy, unknowingly, was a part of a lot of those moments and it made her proud to think he was such a shining force in allowing herself to be less high maintenance.

Annabeth looked up at Percy adoringly as he greedily bit into his slice of pizza. He turned his head slightly when he felt like he was being watched and smiled goofily when he saw it was his beautiful girlfriend staring at him.

"What? Is there pizza sauce on my face?" Percy asked through a mouth full of pizza, slurring his words.

Annabeth's lip curled. "No, I was just thinking about how I managed to fall in love with an idiot," she joked carelessly, turning her attention back to the movie they were watching as she nibbled on her pizza.

Percy froze.

Annabeth froze.

Percy loved Annabeth more than anything and she knew this. Annabeth, well, she couldn't exactly phrase how she felt about Percy into words but he knew that she loved him, for what it was worth. For some weird, prideful reason, Annabeth never said, "I love you." She would go on and say that her family isn't the kind of family to express something like that but as long as their actions spoke louder than their words, that was all that mattered. Percy obviously didn't agree with this and they would argue about it until Annabeth would give him a long, passionate kiss and stare at him with a meaningful look. Since Percy knew Annabeth probably better than she knew herself, he was aware that was her way of saying some shy, muted example of, "I love you." He knew, one day, she would allow her own insecurities and fears to subside when she realized that she was in a comfortable place with Percy and he wasn't out to hurt her, that it was okay to show him all of her emotions, even the ugly ones. Percy didn't want some perfect version of Annabeth, he wanted all of the nitty-gritty, flawed aspects, too. So, he decided to be patient with her because he knew a lot of what she dealt with from her mom did affect her mentally and emotionally.

Percy put his plate that contained his last slice of beloved pizza on the coffee table in front of them and then turned to face Annabeth on the couch he was trying so hard not to fall asleep on. As Percy did this, Annabeth took an even bigger bite out of her slice of pizza and instantly reached for the remote, turning up the volume as her excessive chewing was drowned out by artillery noises. Annabeth refused to look at Percy, holding on to the remote fiercely, however, with ease, Percy gently grabbed the remote and turned the volume down. Annabeth was no longer enjoying her pizza.

Percy sighed as he looked at his dejected girlfriend, who was avoiding eye contact with him. "So, you don't want to talk about what you just said?"

Annabeth feigned indifference as she looked at Percy from the corner of her eyes. "Um, about what?"

Percy rolled his eyes and took Annabeth's plate from her, placing it on the coffee table, as well. He grabbed her criss-crossed legs and dragged her closer to him, now putting her in a position that forced her to look at him.

"Annabeth, you want to know one thing that bothers me about you?" Percy asked rhetorically as Annabeth nibbled on her lip.

"Not really," Annabeth muttered, looking anywhere but at Percy, even when he titled her chin to continue looking at him.

"We are constantly at battle. It seems like we can never have a standstill since you can never admit defeat. You don't want to be vulnerable, you lack trust, you're evasive, and it feels like I have to chase you in order for me to feel like you actually like me. It's all fun and games until it comes time to talk about how we actually feel about each other. I know how you grew up is completely different from how I grew up but, in a relationship, I like to feel reassured. When I tell you that I love you and you can't even say anything, how do you think that makes me feel? With other girls it was easy, it was usually me, who needed to work on communicating my feelings but, babe, you give me a run for my money. I can be patient with you, Annabeth, but I'm not going to be complacent, it's been two years. I know we're still young, but, at least in this moment, I can honestly say that I love you," Percy said, the seriousness in his tone caused Annabeth's heart to be faster than she would've liked. He sounded smart and mature, some strange thing that provided Annabeth with a veil of comfort.

However, at hearing those words, Annabeth's resolve completely collapsed and she found herself whimpering pathetically as she tried to halt her uncontrollable tears. She could've laughed at the confused but concerned look Percy was giving her had she not been overwhelmed with emotions. It was all too much. She was tired of fighting him on a battle that he secretly won, every single time, whether he knew it or not. Above all things, her fatigue in protecting herself from someone who only wanted to do nothing more than protect her seemed exhausting and she was ready to finally catch her breath.

"I'm sorry," Annabeth gasped, holding her arms against her chest as she rubbed them uncomfortably. She couldn't stop crying and she was extremely embarrassed because she never allowed herself to cry in front of Percy, she was about to do something that pained her. She was ready to tell him. Silena's words from earlier slightly influenced her, as well.

Percy looked at her in worry, and grabbed her hands while rubbing soothing circles on the back of them in his attempt to calm her down.

"I love you so much, Percy. You don't even know even if you think you know. I am so afraid of you hurting me that I thought if I never said the words to you, that when you did hurt me, I could say that I never even loved you because you never heard that from me. I-I know it's stupid but I am so used to damn near everyone in my life leaving me and I wanted to put myself in a position to avoid pain. You already know, but my mom doesn't exactly express her feelings toward me unless it's coming from a place of rage o-or dissatisfaction. I guess that's another reason why it's so hard for me to express myself because I'm so used to shutting out my own emotions to appease my mother. I'm sorry it's taken me so long but I was just scared and I still am, I just never felt so strongly and so deeply for someone. It's. . .really terrifying," Annabeth admitted tearfully, peering shyly at Percy to gauge his reaction.

Annabeth could barely capture his reaction, seeing as she was being thrown into a tight hug from Percy that instantly made her feel better. She calmed her breathing and focused on inhaling Percy's scent, something that made her feel safe. Percy pulled back, took one long look at her face, and peppered several kisses across her face and neck as Annabeth laughed joyously, giving him a teary-eyed smile.

"Wise Girl, I don't ever want you to feel that way with me. As weird as it's going to sound, but, I'm not your mother. I want you to express how you feel and I'm not going to be upset at you for doing that. The last thing I ever want to do is hurt you," Percy promised as he pinched her side. She yelped and smiled annoyingly at him. "I'm serious, I want to be someone that you can trust, someone you feel safe with. And you want to know why? Because I love you, it's as simple as that."

Annabeth wiped her eyes with the back at her hand and smiled. "I love you, too, Seaweed Brain."

Abruptly, behind them, Annabeth and Percy turned to find Silena regaining her footing as she balanced her glass of water and plate of pizza in her hands. She grinned vibrantly.

"Oh, don't mind me, just grabbing a snack," Silena chirped as she wiggled her eyebrows at Annabeth, who scowled. "Bye now!"

Percy faced Annabeth again as Silena clambered up the stairs and was out of sight. "Well, now the whole world's gonna know that you love me."

Annabeth laughed in despair. "I know and I honestly don't care. She's too nosey for her own good."

An hour later, Percy expected to be snuggled up with his girlfriend, falling asleep as she rushed him to wake up because her mother would be home soon.

However, Percy found himself in a much better position. Annabeth complained that he had made her feel all hot and sweaty, so she wanted to take a quick shower. Though, Percy knew this meant something else. Annabeth was, sometimes, weird about taking a shower before they had sex even if she had already taken one prior to coming to his apartment. It made more sense for them to shower after sex, in his head. Eventually, he figured out why she would suddenly want to take a quick shower when she followed it up with sex. Percy took showers, of course (he loved being in water), but if he didn't come from basketball practice or did any activity that caused him to be all sweaty and musty, as long as he showered before he was content. Annabeth, on the other hand, didn't like this and thus began one of his favorite happenings: shower sex.

Percy's head banged hard against the shower wall as Annabeth shoved him against it, her hands pulling him up as he began slipping on the smooth, wet surface.

"Ow!" Percy exclaimed through kisses Annabeth bombarded his lips with.

"Shut up," Annabeth demanded aggressively, her eyes hazy as she tugged on his bottom lip with her teeth.

Percy followed that up with gripping her ass as he picked her up and nibbled at her lower lip, hard. Annabeth made a tiny squeal as she kissed him back just as fiercely, tangling her fingers through his wet, jet-black hair. She tugged at his hair to give her some leverage, wanting to feel closer to him. He eventually switched their positions, her back against the wall as he stood between her, with her legs wrapped around his waist.

Annabeth raised her eyebrow at him, challengingly. As if to say, What are you going to do, huh?

To her dismay, Percy was a tease. That's why she was the first one to ask him if he wanted to hang out (a date, Percy would insist) when they first started dating because she knew he liked to play around with her, leave her guessing at times since it was so hard for to express that she wanted to be with him and he wanted her to be assertive.

So, Annabeth displayed that type of assertive behavior when she assertively thrusted her hips against his own to show him how assertive she was about getting fucked.

Now.

Part two of her dismay went something like this: Percy smirking as he found (yes, you guessed it!) the spot against her neck and continued to suck, kiss, and bite at her neck. Her dismay was furthered when he slid his length against her wet core, sliding back and forth slowly, never really reaching the spot that Annabeth wanted it at.

"Percy," Annabeth whimpered breathlessly, pouting when her silent request wasn't met.

Finally, after watching Annabeth lose her senses, Percy moved his mouth from her neck to kiss her lips in what felt like a lifetime and, instantly, she knew what was coming. She peered at him expectantly as he readjusted the grip on her legs, and just as he was about to give her want she wanted. . .

BANG! BANG! BANG!

The door swung open so abruptly, Annabeth didn't even have time to question what was the purpose in knocking, in the first place. Annabeth had never felt her life flash so fast in her eyes as she forced Percy's tall, lanky self to crouch in the shower, to avoid being spotted. She shakily grabbed the shower curtains and peered out, hoping it was the last person she would want to be caught by.

Thankfully, it was a frantic Silena. "Annabeth! Really sorry to disturb but your mom is here! I heard her car pull up as the garage was opening!"

Annabeth had never been more grateful to have Silena as a friend but, also: fuck, fuck, fuck!

Silena bit at her nails, jumping on her feet as Annabeth whisper-shouted, "Please, distract her!"

In an instant, Silena scrambled out of the bathroom and closed her bedroom door shut. Instantly after that, Percy turned off of the water as Annabeth stumbled out of the showering, scrambling for their clothes.

"Fuck Percy," Annabeth breathed nervously, as she quickly tried to pat herself dry. "This is bad! Really bad!"

Percy was nearly dry, tugging on his boxers and pants as he goofily smiled at his uneasy girlfriend. "I mean, it would be a good time to tell her that you have a boyfriend."

Annabeth glared at Percy. "Yeah, right after I tell her I snuck you in without her permission. She's crazy, she'll probably have me transfer schools or something!"

Percy frowned as Annabeth dragged him out of the bathroom, not giving him a chance to put on a shirt. Annabeth was fully dressed at this point, rushing to find Percy's socks and then dread filled her when she realized his slides were downstairs. Sally's Prius was parked outside. Her mother was extremely observant and anything out of sort in her pristine household was going to be noticed. Either way, Annabeth had to come up with a really good lie or she was screwed.

Then, Annabeth heard several footsteps rushing up the stairs. Annabeth threw Percy's shirt and jacket at him, pushing him outside onto her balcony.

"Really Annabeth?" Percy asked in annoyance, as he clenched his jaw.

"Percy, please, wait here," Annabeth pleaded, her grey eyes expressing apology. "I don't know how she's going to react even if I say nothing was going on."

At this, Annabeth quickly slid the balcony door closed and hopped on her bed, quickly pulling out her phone as her mother swung the door open. The room was dark, so her mother flipped the light switch up to reveal her stoic face. Annabeth blinked at her through the brightness as she feigned checking the time on her phone.

"Mom, it's 9:45. What are you doing here early?" Annabeth asked in faulty confusion, sitting up in her bed.

In Annabeth's mothers' hands held her annoyingly tall boyfriend's basketball slides. Annabeth looked up at her mother, Athena, who was already analyzing her face in an attempt to discover the truth. Annabeth was completely crestfallen, so she looked at Silena quickly for reassurance, who looked like she wanted to throw up and she mouthed, "Sorry."

"I lied. The event ended at 9:30," Athena admitted, crossing her arms. She was clenching her jaw so hard, Annabeth was afraid what would come out of her mouth next. "I knew I couldn't trust you."

"Mom," Annabeth started, getting off the bed to approach her. However, her mother's attention was directed to the blinds that led out to her balcony, they were swaying back and forth aggressively, as if someone had just ran out. Which someone had.

"Annabeth," Athena started slowly, looking at her with a certain air of impatience. "Don't lie to me. Do you have someone over other than Silena?"

At this, Annabeth grew angry. "What do you mean don't lie to me? You just lied to me about what time you were coming back! Who does that?"

"You evidently do not respect my household or I. I knew you couldn't be trusted and I was hoping that you would prove me wrong but I see how difficult that must be for you. Now, answer my question, is someone else here? I know Silena doesn't have a car. And what on Earth are you wearing?" Athena demanded, looking her up and down distastefully.

Silena winced at this.

Annabeth's eyes flashed dangerously, she didn't know how she was going to get out of this and she should have thought this through more thoroughly if her mother didn't prove to be so psychotic, setting her up in a trap. Annabeth's right leg began to bounce and her right arm followed, as she began to shake in anger. She knew her mother's next step would be to move toward the balcony, so she did it for her.

"Yes, I do have someone over," Annabeth said shakily as she slid open the door to see Percy perched on the edge of the balcony, ready to jump if Annabeth gave him a signal. However, the signal did not come as Annabeth looked at him completely torn, her grey eyes beaming with nervousness, motioning for him to follow her. Percy instantly rushed to her side, squeezing her hand as she pulled him into her bedroom. Also, a little grateful he didn't have to find a way to safely make it down a three-story balcony.

At Athena's first sight of Percy, she growled and threw his shoes on the floor. "Who is this, Annabeth? Who do you think you are bringing over boys as if you're grown? And you're over here dressing like this! What is wrong with you? I knew I was right by not being able to trust you! You do things like this and act confused when you can't get your way!"

Annabeth drew continuous breaths to control her anger, and Percy was holding onto her hand so tightly she felt almost breathless. Percy took a step toward.

"Look, Ms. Chase, this isn't Annabeth's-"

Annabeth cut him off while Athena stared at Percy like he was crazy, like he had the audacity to even speak to her. "Mom, this is my boyfriend, Percy," she announced as she leveled her head to give her mother a firm glare.

Athena scoffed. "Boyfriend? As if you could be stupid enough-"

"I'm not stupid!" Annabeth shouted, exasperated. "You always call me stupid when you know I'm not and you know that it hurts me when you say that! Yes. This is my boyfriend. Sorry, your eighteen year-old daughter is actually attracted to members of the opposite sex. We've been dating for two years and I never told you because I can't trust you, mom!" At this point, Annabeth had tears forming in her eyes as Percy stared at her with concern. "Do you know how sad that is? This is the person who I care about the most and I can't even share that with you without facing consequences? Do you even care what goes on in my life other than school and sports?"

Athena calmed her breathing, closing her eyes until she looked at Percy and then she looked at Silena. "Leave. Now!"

Percy moved to hug Annabeth but Annabeth grabbed his arm and picked up his shoes, pushing past her mother. Silena quickly followed suit. Percy's eyes bugged out of his skull, his mom would've killed him by now.

"Where do you think you're going?" Athena demanded.

"I'm walking him out, mother," Annabeth said sarcastically, pulling Percy along with her at an even faster pace. "Just let me say goodbye to them before you say more hurtful things to me." Before Athena could get her last word in, everyone was out the door.

Annabeth was surprised when her mother didn't follow her out the door to Sally's car.

"Oh my fucking fuck! Annabeth!" Silena whisper-exclaimed, covering her mouth with her hands in disbelief. "I've never heard you speak to your mother like that!"

Percy was silent, studying Annabeth's face carefully. He tucked one of her wets curls behind her ear. Annabeth smiled weakly at Silena. "I felt comfortable knowing you guys were there and after my conversation with Percy earlier, I was just fed up. Either way, something needed to be said. Probably wasn't the best idea. I'm sorry I dragged you guys into this mess."

Percy grabbed the back of Annabeth's head and pulled her into his chest while he gave her a tight tug. "Don't even worry about it, Wise Girl. I'm proud of you. Obviously that's not how I wanted to meet your mom but I'm glad you stood up to her, it was sexy." Percy swayed Annabeth from side to side, pressing a firm kiss at the top of her head.

Silena giggled.

Annabeth looked up at Percy and scrunched her nose. "Ew, you saw me cry twice today."

"So?" Percy laughed. "You're a pretty crier, so it wasn't even that bad on your part."

Annabeth pulled away from Percy with the roll of her eyes. "Wouldn't expect hearing anything less from you, Seaweed Brain. Also, you don't mind giving Silena a ride home? I would take her but my mom will probably lose her mind if she has to wait any longer to scream at me."

Percy looked at her seriously. "Yeah, I don't mind but you're good, though? I can come back once she falls asleep and we can drive somewhere."

Annabeth looked at him gratefully. "I don't know about that since she's a pretty light sleeper but I promise I will call the both of you once we're done talking."

"You better," Silena warned, giving her a tight hug as Percy unlocked to the doors to the Prius.

"Come here," Percy said, opening his arms for Annabeth to walk in. He squeezed her so tight until she was pushing away from him. "I love you."

"Ow, I love you, too," Annabeth said, smacking his arm slightly as he leaned in to kiss her.

Percy hopped in his car, rolling down the window to wave as he backed out of Annabeth's drive way. She waved until they were out of distance. As they drove away, Annabeth turned around and began walking to her front door.

She held her breath.

Four months later Annabeth lay in her bed, naked, nonetheless. To her left, her boyfriend laid next to her, equally as naked.

The conversation Annabeth had with her mother was extremely nerve-wracking and an emotional rollercoaster. Annabeth got everything she needed to say off of her chest and, surprisingly, her mother listened. The first few months were hard, it was like walking on eggshells around her mother, however, eventually Athena grew interested enough to want to formally meet Percy. Percy was amazing, of course, going out of his way to apologize for any disrespect he had caused her and she could tell her mother liked that when she curled her lip slightly, taking a sip of her drink. Soon, her mother warmed up to Percy but that didn't mean she didn't address him with an air of disgust, at times. Annabeth would argue constantly with her mother about this. And, surprisingly, Percy would defend her mother, saying she was just being a parent but she knew it was mainly for her sake. Life was going pretty good, Percy and Annabeth were heading off to college soon.

Soon being three days.

"I still haven't told my mom I'm not going to Yale," Annabeth said quietly, circling her finger across Percy's chest.

At this, he sat up immediately. "What do you mean? We're leaving in three days, Annabeth. Your mom is going to be so angry at you. Why would you want that kind of stress?"

"Well, she can be angry at me while we're away at NYU. I didn't want these last few months to feel miserable, Percy."

Percy looked at her in confusion. "Okay, I get that but isn't this why you and your mom have issues in the first place? You guys don't trust each other and this is something she deserves to know. Don't you want to leave on good terms?"

Annabeth sighed. "You're right but I can stand her being angry at me for months while I'm away instead of while I'm here, having to deal with her taunting me and making me feel like shit for choosing to go somewhere where I'd actually be happy. She holds the worst grudges. Her words probably would've changed my mind, Percy. That's how bad it is. In all the ways imaginable, this is the way where I protect my sanity."

Now, it was Percy's turn to sigh. "Okay, just let me know when it does happen and if it's going to make it worse if I'm there."

"I will," Annabeth promised. "Now, less about my imminent death and more about pleasuring me."

Percy gladly followed suit with pressing a soft, slow moving kiss against her lips and then he abruptly grabbed her, moving her into a position where she was sitting on his face.

Right when Percy was going to work his magic, the door banged open.

He never saw Annabeth move so fast in his life, well, at least in this context. At the door stood a very angry Athena, seething as her grey eyes glowed scarily. Athena closed her eyes, holding up ten fingers and putting each one down as if she was counting down.

"Um, why is she counting?"

"Annabeth. . ."

"Run."

"What?"

"I swear to the gods, Annabeth, if he doesn't. . ."

"Now! Leave, please."

Annabeth had never wanted to cry, laugh so bad as she watched her naked boyfriend run for his clothes and run promptly away from her mother.

"I can't believe you'd be stupid enough to allow yourself get caught! Twice, nonetheless!"

Here we go again but, hey, teenagers will be teenagers.

Author's Note: It is finished. It is complete. I hope you guys enjoyed. And yo Annabeth is ballsy, twice girl? Smh. My ass would've caught hands from my parents. And can we talk about Athena? Big yikes. Percy knows they need to see a MFT therapist. I wanted to give you guys something more than just 2,000 words and this chapter could've easily been 10k words but then I would find myself writing a completely different story, you can kind of see that here.

No promises, but I made another account where I also had a three-shot I hadn't completed, so I might be moving it over here to this account and post the last chapter. If you guys enjoyed this story, you'll definitely enjoy that one. So, if you guys read this let me know if you'd be interested. :)

Hope you guys are staying safe while the whole world is practically in quarantine. I live in the United States, California to be exact. My job put me on furlough with no pay, so I'm hoping this quarantine is not forever. I have rent and bills to pay! :( Please stay home and don't be a detty pig, wash your hands, please!
